Mobo = MSI Gaming 7
GPU = Nvidia GTX 980 Ti
PSU = Corsair 860i
RAM = 8GB Corsair Vengeance
CPU Cooler = Corsair H100i
SSD = 128GB Samsung Evo 850 Pro + 512GB OCZ Vertex
Case = Fractal Define R4 Stealth Black Window Edition

Extras:

Custom Green Sleeving from PC Performance
Corsair SP120 Green LED Exhust Fan

As for the Desk, Those are just 24inch 1080p 5ms Acer Monitors i bought quite awhile ago, Haven't felt the need to upgrade in awhile. The Top monitor is just a 32inch i don't even use much unless i want to AFK even harder. The lighting is some generic RGB kit from Amazon which i can't remember.

I can't remember if I posted here before but I've recently got the following additions; Dual screen Iiyama XUB2390HS-B1 monitors, HyperX Cloud II Gunmetal & Creative Sound Blaster X7.

Here's a picture of it all together now (:

AMD FX(tm)-6350 Six-Core Processor
AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
8GB of RAM

IDK if i've posted it here before

This is my laptop that I use for everything :)

i7 3632QM
16GB RAM
1TB HDD
NVIDIA GeForce 635M
Windows 10

Edit; I've thought about building a desktop to replace my dads aging laptop which still has windows vista but it has to be pretty cheap. Probably around £300 including everything; monitor, a copy of Windows, keyboard and mouse. I just don't know where I could start looking though.

For that price, assuming you want new, I'd get some prebuilt one from a retailer to be honest.

You could quite possibly get away with building one yourself if you don't buy a copy of Windows from a shop (so, buying it from people on /r/microsoftsoftwareswap or Kinguin, etc)

But otherwise, a copy of Windows from a shop eats away pretty much 30% of your budget.

just use ubuntu instead of windows unless u have a good reason to, a lot of steamgames support such as csgo and also I play rs on it (need to manually install a dependency in 16.04 but works after). a lot of open source alternatives to windows/mainsteam apps as well such as libreoffice>ms word, chromium>chrome, gimp>ps, etc.

current spec (using spare pc)
fx6300
msi 970a
patriot blaze 240gb
galaxy gtx460
corsair tx650
8gb ram
ubuntu 16.04

I have never posted my computer setup before. Before I posted, I went through all the pages looking to see if anyone had relatively the same layout. Several of the Puush images and image links had expired; but, I found one that had a similar setup from

I renovated my bedroom 3 weeks ago and here are the results. I removed the sliding closet doors and placed both of my monitors on wall mounts and bolted them to the closet frames. The wall mounts allow the monitors to swivel over the bed. If the monitors are not being used, they can swivel in to the closet.

Finally, I upgraded my television from a 39 inch to a 58 inch.

All my components arrived and....

IT'S ALIVE@@@@@@@
https://s32.postimg.org/462agvew5/Leds.png

Here is how I set it up:
https://s32.postimg.org/g4fuiigj9/Airflow.png
2 fans in front of the case blow air over the ssds and hdds (ssds both mounted in top slot with 3mm mounting tape and a temperature sensor between them, and another sensor between the hdds) and in towards the gpu, cpu, and psu. An additional fan blows air in directly onto the cpu (another temperature sensor for the rear fan is above the cpu). This way the cpu, psu, and gpu blow the hot air directly out. I figure the hdds and ssds won't generate much heat, if any; certainly nothing that will make any impact on performance.

The fans in the case are the silent wings 2 from be quiet! but I've since ordered the Corsair Ml140 pros to replace the 3 case fans (the dark rock pro 3 cpu cooler only accepts the silent wings fan unless you want some seriously ghetto mounting which I do not).

This is how my cable management ended up:
https://s31.postimg.org/m1nrij1nv/Cable_Management.png
I've since ordered a single molex (for the fan hub), and sata power (for the CableMod rgb led control box) to remove the extra ports on the double sata power and double molex cables I'm currently using. I also ordered 2 12" 3pin fan header extension cables as the cables from the two front fans is just barely visible and that extra length will allow me to tuck it out of the way.

Things I'm proud of are:
1) The led extender cable (white cable, bottom left) working perfectly even though I ordered it not knowing if it would work at all. As a result my widebeam led strips are perfectly lined up on the top and bottom of the case.
2) The creative way I attached the bulky cablemod rgb led control box in the upper left corner of the case.
3) The really awesome looking (in my opinion) way I mounted the fan hub using 3mm mounting tape that required hours of cable management just to get it to barely fit but was worth it because I got everything working properly. (once I have the fan extenders I can move that to a better place and redo some of the less tidy cable management)

Front view:

I really like the way I twist tied the ir receiver for the rgb led control box in the upper right of the case but as I don't plan to change my settings from purple on the led strips and gray on the gpu I can tuck that out of the way now.

My personal preference on the cablemod sleeved cable combs is to have the wires all form one vein flowing out of the psu behind the case and then using multiple combs where they plug in to keep them neat looking. (I only have one 26 pin comb because the other arrived broken)

Here are the idle running temps I ended up with:

I will redo this once I get all the Corsair fans in and then I will benchmark it although I'm only using stock overclocks.
