You must be very small because I'm getting claustrophobia just from looking at how much space you have to sit at the desk.

What in the world would you ever use a 980 for with 2 screens? I could see if you had 3 monitors and liked racing games or something but yeah. I'm guessing they're around 20-22" 1080p because they don't look big enough to be 1440. Even my 970 on 2 1080p monitors is complete overkill. I've yet to be able to make it crash or mess up in any way, and trust me I've tried.. Can't imagine 980, lol.

This is what's in mine, a bit similar to yours...

I initially built it with future upgrades in mind, but honestly it's so much overkill already unless I upgrade my monitors that I'm not even considering adding anything right now.

It is actually surprisingly easy to bring a single 980 down to its knees for some games at 1080p. Of course not with runescape, as that only requires a potato to run at max settings combined with high resolutions. Look at any recent AAA game for this (Witcher 3, GTA V, just to name two). Cranking the settings in these games to the max with extra features as hairworks enabled or a high amount of anti-aliasing, these games won't run at 1080p+60fps.

What MaxQ said, really. I bought a GTX 980 last month and needless to say I was a little disappointed at how well it performed at 1080p Ultrawide. Granted it's like 500,000 pixels more than a regular 1080p display, but that isn't awful.

I still couldn't play GTA on max settings at 1080p UW with a GTX 980, but some settings had to be cranked down.

If you have a monitor with GSync it's a little more forgiving (you can acceptably drop down to 35-ish FPS) but for that you are paying £200 premium for that technology.

I put the clocks on my GTX 980 up to 1350MHz (something like 1460MHz boost) with 8GHz memory clock and it runs pretty well at 4k. At 5431x3055 resolution GTA still musters up around 50 FPS on high settings with advanced graphics ramped up.

It came, and overclocks quite well, 1515MHz core and 8012MHz memory. Now to wait for Skylake (or Prime Day, and hope something takes my fancy).

Nice choice in cards :d.

Desktop: http://puu.sh/jqWWY.jpg

Setup: http://puu.sh/jqXXb.jpg

Parts:
CPU: i7 4790k @ 4.0 GHz
Mobo: MSI Z97 Gaming 7
GPU: MSI R7 265 OC Edition
RAM: 12 GB, 2 x 4 GB and 2 x 2 GB, @ 1333... slow as fuck but too cheap to buy faster RAM. Been told no difference can be seen with faster RAM when gaming.
PSU: Rosewill Hive Series 550w Semi-Modular
Case: Apevia X Sniper v2
Drives: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD, Western Digital 1TB HDD
Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series 80i water cooler
Mouse: MSI Steelseries Optical Mouse (Red)
Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth
Fans: 2x 140mm Cougar Green LED Hydraulic Bearing Ultra Silent Fans, 200mm Thermaltake Pure Series Quiet High Airflow Case Fan Green LED, and 120mm pre-installed Green LED fan in the front on the case
Headset: Logitech G930
I have no idea about my monitors (lol) because they are just what I had laying around and don't want to pay for new ones currently. I have to run my far right monitor from the integrated graphics on my Mobo to get triple monitors(again, lol).

Erm, why a 980 Ti and a reg 980? not gonna be able to sli those. Unless you're planning on getting rid of the 980 for another Ti ;D

also I love comp spec threads anywhere, idk why I haven't seen this before :3

My comp:
i7 3820 @3.8 GHz until the winter when I can oc (heat issues in a desert....)
2x GTX 970 non oc'ed (might be selling for a 980Ti and grab another in a couple months but we'll see, otherwise will oc and supercool with cpu in winter)
32 GB RAM 4x8GB @ 1333 MHz (1600 won't stabilise, think due to subpar power source not able to just barely oc the ram voltage)
SSD boot drive and much more platter space <3
Dual monitor setup but one screen is usually text or a video for afking

Lovely custom loop Staryu, I want to get into watercooling but I don't even have an adequate system at the moment. That, and for the cost I would rather run more hardware off air. Is that a Fractal Design R5?

Waiting for my review sample PSU then I can get to work on my new build, shouldn't be more than a few weeks I hope.
