are you using the standard Japanese hard pronunciation? most things sound less confusing if you always use the softer variation for english

Just pronouncing it with a softer variation. I know things with doubled kana and a hard line require the equivalent of "stressing" the vowel/sound, but I also never went to school for it. Self-taught ftw... in some instances. ;p
