Only watched the Chile - Portugal semi final, was meh.

Did catch some of the u21 euros; however, Germany winning everything will become boring.

Norwegian league has two more weekends to play before summer break, then the women's euro championship starts in two weeks as well.

Transfer window has been slow so far, aside from Everton buying everyone.

I think I watched half the Confed games. Chile looked like the best team of them all. Germany got lucky in the final, although Chile's weakness has become very clear after watching them a few times: they're horribly inefficient, all the time. I expected better of Chile. Alexis Sanchez was disappointing. Right now, I wouldn't mind being drawn into the same group as them at the world cup.

For Norway, that's a mid-season break, right? I might watch some of women's Euros if there are decent streams.

Yeah slow window, but Anderlecht have done some great signings already. We signed what I think will be a good replacement for Tielemans. His name is Kums, he was elected Belgian player of the year in 2015 when he played for Gent. Then Watford bought him, but he went to Udinese on loan, which was completely the wrong club for him.

We got Onyekuru on loan from Everton as well. I am okay with that, he's a great player. I'm looking forward to the start of the season. Starts in 3 weeks here.

Mid season break, yes. Usually not a lot happens in terms of transfers.

Sounds like a decent window for Anderlecht - at least someone is getting transfers done. :P

Ac Milan seems to be doing good as well, but it remains to be seen if that team will challenge for champions league spots. Juventus, Napoli and Roma still seem like stronger teams in Italy.

Lukaku to Man Utd. and Rooney to Everton.

Conte must be so furious right now. Great transfer for Man Utd, although I would personally have preferred to see him at Chelsea. Very curious to see how he will perform in the CL. You must be happy with that signing, right?

Btw, are there any Norwegian teams playing EL/CL qualifiers right now? If yes, what are their chances to reach the group phase?

Indeed, a great signing! :D

Rosenborg is playing against Dundalk in the 2nd round qualification to champions league - they might win this, but I don't think they'll be able to qualify for champions league.
Europa league should be the goal via play offs if they lose in the 3rd round.

Brann is up against a slovakian team Ružomberok in the 2nd qualification round to the Europa league. I don't know anything about them to judge Brann's chances, but Brann is currently sitting in 3rd place in our league where their form has been rather inconsistent so far.

Odd was drawn against Vaduz from Liechtenstein in the 2nd round after beating Ballymena from northern ireland 5-0 on aggregate. I expect them to advance; however, their league form this season is worse than last season where they've had difficulties scoring goals often drawing 0-0.

Haugesund beat the northern irish team Coleraine fc 7-0 at home and drew 0-0 away to advance to the 2nd round where they meet Lech Poznan from Poland. Most likely this is where their european campaign comes to an end.

Interesting, didn't Rosenborg last season miss CL or EL by conceding 3 goals in the final minutes?

Also, have you been following the Women's Euros? Belgium and Norway are in the same group. We both lost on matchday #1 and we'll face each other tomorrow. As far as I have understood, Norway should be the better team. I will probably watch if I have nothing else to do.

By the way, it looks like we're the only two who still post here, so I might post the new EL/CL thread a little earlier already. I am planning to post the new one after the current CL qualification round has ended. That should be in the first week of August.

These are the thread changes that I had in mind:
-Make the thread CL + EL
-Post in regular OT (not on HLF)
-Keep the current competition format, but add a UCL Fantasy competition with our own RS league
-Add EL group tables (but no competition for that)

An EL competition would be way too much work for me to update the hiscores, so that's not going to work.

Do you have any suggestions for changes or for things to add?

Yeah, they didn't look impressive. This was our first EC participation btw. :>

Also, Mourinho wants Dendoncker and he's pretty high on his wish list. :( That's the one player we can't miss in the CL this season. Our management team has realized that as well, so they've set a ridiculously high price in hopes that Mourinho will change his mind.
