Was thinking leave background on, but is it possible to do that without making it so that it isn't stretched vertically? [Like what was done with my current pic]
Edit; Otherwise without background is good too, but preferably get rid of the thing sticking off the side of my face. D:

@D o m oK u n, personally it doesn't offend me. However there will come a time when someone will complain to me about it. So rather than deal with it later, I'll deal with it now and say no. Keep in mind custom avatars work across all forum sections and I know of one Jmod who used RS-Linkify.

@Anti Bit, I just shrunk your pic while maintaining aspect ratio and kept background. I think the background works in most real life pics. Anyway I have given you the choice of two :)

m yavatars aren't appearing
it makes me very sad because i cannot look at the face of ellie goulding every time i post.

is there a fix for this?

What version of RS-Linkify were you using when made that post?
I've been able to see your custom avatar btw.
Also the code you are using suggests you are not up to date or you've changed something.

Try this...

Update your extensions.

Is this http://puu.sh/4BdK4.jpg going to be available on all threads? Or is it a setting already that I can't find.


What I've decided to do is make all experimental features apply to this thread only. The reason is partly due to settings.

Quite often every time I make a change in a new feature I need to write new settings and/or change how settings are applied. This means I actually spend more time coding settings than I do working on the new feature.

Also sometimes when I'm trying something new, I'm asked how to turn it off. This is a fair enough question, so I think it's best to just have experimental stuff here.

So this thread is a testing ground, with no options for things I'm working on. It won't impact on the rest of the forums and I can focus on what needs to be done.

There are a number of benefits in doing it this way. If something breaks no threads are affected, only this one. Also I can find problems without having to search through a 100 different threads.

I noticed J Morgan asked about this feature on the previous page, I plan on making a post about it soon. I just need to wait a little while and be sure everyone has migrated to the new avatar code system.

I would like to make it available to all forums sections, and will eventually provide some options.

Sorry for the long reply , but I rather explain why, than give a yes/no answer.
