Not sure I've seen that happen. I assumed once they stopped something had to change on the client end for them to reappear, but I don't know what's going with them tbh.

Definitely not showing for me atm, but I've had forums open for hours so I expect that.

Maybe the fact Canary Chrome updates a couple of times per day is what's causing them to work again?

The background color of the image seems to be a bit lighter than the forum background. The easiest fix would be to make the background transparent on the author's icon. :)

You know one of the features of any decent forums are thread views.

I wonder during your experimentation, have you found any page view count embedded into page but hidden from view? My idea is that if there is such thing, then could make it visible, such as perhaps at bottom of the OP in signature area. It could be an embedded link to the tracker, and return a value displayed in OP as thread view count.

Puush is one indirect way of tracking page view, by placing an embedded puush link and seeing how many times the link has been accessed, from puush personal account. However it cannot be publicly seen. Additionally, it is not 100% foolproof as there are non-linkify users that may never touch the link.

Just throwing it out here.

Thanks Maz, I wonder why only some people are seeing that.

The RGB values are on that image are identical to the background, and it seems to display properly for most people.

I remember a long time ago Thunder posted an issue with the runescape images doing something similar. Can't remember the details or what he did to sort it.

But anyway there is clearly difference on how browsers are treating colours so, I'll just replace the image.

I haven't seen anything that would give an indication of thread views in the page.

I agree it would be nice to know how many views a thread gets. As you mentioned the only way I could do it would be views from RS Linkify users. That's not a good indication of views though.

Sadly I don't know of any way to do it.
