firefox has many many more addons which do wonderful things to improve the performance settings.
As does Chrome, but Firefox is simply an upgraded version of IE imo and the way you talk about tracking... Got something to hide? If not... It won't matter.
& Indy, you never made a comment on this: (Would it be possible?)

Perhaps something like this? (Sorry for my horrible editing skills, can't use anything like photoshop to save my life

@Morgan, Removing sections is already possible with the side panel. I will we be adding more options to that at some stage, and they may eventually apply to other parts of RS-Linkify.
@J3, Favorites will be a tab on the side panel eventually.
@Toastcrumbs, yep I will be doing that for custom backgrounds only.
@Im the Baws, ah I suspected system restore, it seems for some reason javascript files are not always preserved when using system restore. A reinstall should fix it.
@Charles, it's technically possible but I will have to look into it. This wont ever work consistently though, plenty of signatures that aren't embedded with RS-Linkify, and I have no guarantee the tags won't be removed from posts.
Another issue is getting tags to work with the censor. Many posts that contain the letters 'n' and 'w' cause my tags to break because the sensor messes with them, This means allot signature tags may end up looking like ***, making them both ugly and quotable.
I do agree that defining the signature would be handy, just not sure how reliable I can make it. I will look into it though.

When quoting others, especially if they have particularly large signatures, is just highlight the text and then click quote and it won't carry the signature through that way.

No... they both can't have more addons... firefox crushes chrome in terms of addons.
Not being spied on is a basic right where I am from, and it is people like you that think it is okay that make it such a powerful tool. There is a reason why there is a limit on how long someone can run the FBI and it is because the last time someone sat at the top (and the first time) without limit they blackmailed their way into the white house.

Everyone has something they don't want others to know, and everyone has said something they don't want their name on, and information on everything you look at, buy, click, talk about, like, share, ect can be sold to someone for money.
If that sits well with you then you either don't understand or don't care. And by not caring you make the world a lot worse for those that have the mental capacity to understand the dangers.

But what you look at / buy / click / talk about / like / share can't be sold to anyone, because most of it is spreading your paranoia over the Runescape Forums... There's no danger in that, stop being such a conspirator.
As for the add-ons comment, I was leaving the word 'more' out. Yes Firefox has more, but half of them are useless. You do also know there are Chrome Extensions that stop tracking of your browser, yes?
And the "where I'm from", all I have to say is: Lol where I'm from I don't break any laws, so they can "spy" on me all they like. It's not going to achieve
anything
and just waste taxpayer's dollars.

You're right, I don't care, but I also know that the dangers are
very
small and more so negligible. You should also refrain from trying to make yourself seem smarter than me (mental capacity comment), it only makes you seem like the type of person to say "The government causes every natural disaster!".
However, this thread is for discussing Linkify, so:
Indy, Would there be some way to import our Ignore List to forums, perhaps a Linkify option, that displays a post as:
"xPlayerNamex posted. You have them ignored - [click] to view their post."

@Toastcrumbs, importing data from the game may be possible but it's an area I'm staying away from. RS-Linkify only interacts with forums and that's how I'm keeping it.
However that doesn't prevent me from providing a customisable ignore list for the forums. I simply don't believe it's the best thing for the forums and that's why I haven't done it. My stance on this is not set in stone and may change in time, but for now it's not something I want to do.
It also gets kind of ugly with the quoting system. I could ignore quotes from players in an ignore list, that's not a problem. But it gets messy very quickly.
Example:
- You add me to ignore list.
- I quote you
Now you are ignoring yourself in regards to your text I quoted.
- I quote someone not on your list
By ignoring me you are ignoring their quote.
Or I quote a nest of quotes...I think you can see where I'm going with this.
There are even more messy scenarios than that. Also I don't believe in a show option with ignoring, that to me says there is no need for ignore list at all.
The way I see it is, if an ignore list is needed it's because there are turds that need to weeded out and removed from the forums, or it's because of a lack of tolerance (I don't believe the lack of tolerance applies to you BTW). However these issues require much more than a software solution, imo it fixes nothing and doesn't solve the problem.
For now I'd rather have faith in Mod Lee's ability to make improvements here. He has the means to solve these issues. What I decide to do depends largely on his success. I'm fairly patient so I'm prepared to give it some time.
I hope you understand my reluctance, it's been suggested before and I rather promote tolerance by my own example than provide tools that inhibit tolerance.
