I think that anarchy is over romanticized, because under true anarchy people die, life is hell, and odds are you arent the badass you envisioned yourself being, your somebody's bitch face down in the mud

Democracy has its own problems, but if comparing the two I would choose democracy every time. No country today has democracy perfectly right, but when you take a moment to step back and look at all the other shitty kinds of political systems, its not bad.

Well one, anarchy isn't a type of government, in a sense it just means a fail state.

Despotism (dictatorship) on the other hand is quite interesting, though history tells us it never goes the right way, starting from the Egyptians and you know the rest...

Democracy, I'd say is probably the best government type, though it also has flaws, as when you have elected representatives that decide on important decisions of the state.

There are also many other government, that should be mentioned.

Republic, communism, fundamentalism (don't get me started with this one), monarchy...

Anyways I guess, I'd go with the democracy, but there's always more to it. Maybe we'll have a government type we haven't thought of yet, and is better than all of the above.

Now its not listed as a choice here, but seeing as you mentioned it, Monarchy.

If I had to choose one form of government that I think does the best job ruling, not necessarily giving rights to the people, it would be monarchy. The fact that it can rally a nation around a central figurehead is something we have not seen in many decades. Today people despise that notion, however some of the greatest and worst things in history have been done in the name of a monarch.

A democratic republic with proper checks and balances. Like J3 said, you can't have a pure democracy with too many people. The government, as James Madison in the Federalist Papers said so eloquently, should not be for the minority, nor for the majority, but for all.
