Dwayne went to the next room and there were two men, one dressed in fancy blue & gray royal looking clothes with a beard and the other with a short mustache and blue robes. The man in the blue robes approached Dwayne, "Do you have an appointment with the Duke?" the blue robed man inquired. "You need an appointment?" Dwayne wondered. "Why, of..." the blue robed man was interrupted by the other fancy schmancy clothed bearded guy, "Sigmund, I'm not busy, as you can well see. Let the man speak." This must be the Duke, Dwayne thought.

Dwayne wanted to serve the Duke, or at least go on an adventurous quest, something, anything. "I am in search of a quest! ... Sire" Dwayne added, to fill the role of all the puff of royalty and courtesy. "Quest? Who are you?" The Duke asked baffled. "I'm Dwayne. From Ashdale." "Ashdale?" The Duke asked. Sigmund, the man in the blue robes approached the Duke and whispered something to him into his ear. "ahh, -that- Ashdale. Nice place, that." The Duke said, "but I'm sorry, I don't think you're ready to go off kill and dragons quite yet:" The Duke snickered. "So you got nothing?" Dwayne asked. "Well ... no. Not for you anyways." The Duke recoiled.

Dwayne was a tad disappointed, he had heard from Gudrik back in Ashdale of his tales of exploits in Lumbridge and how the Duke had given him a quest to find out about a curious artifact that had landed into in his hands, but Gudrik had withheld what the purpose of the artifact was, and its origins. Times have changed, Dwayne thought.

"Was there anything else, sir?" Sigmund said. "No." Dwayne said as he shook his head. "Then be off with ya! The Duke is a busy man" Sigmund said, the Duke gave Sigmund a glare and a frown.

Dwayne exited the room and went to the 2nd floor, top floor.

On the top floor he saw some logs on the ground and a Bank. This must be Lumbridge's Bank of RuneScape, Dwayne thought, I might as well deposit these sardines I got from the Cook. Dwayne walked up to the Bank clerk and asked her: "May I access my account, please?" "Before you go any further, I must inform you that you have completed offers from the Grand Exchange, sir." The Bank clerk said. The 47 bronze scimitars! Dwayne thought with a glee on his face, and sure enough his offer had filled and all 47 bronze scimitars had sold for an amazing 2,350 gold coins. This and the 500 gold coins from the Cook will surely get me some fancy iron armour and weapon, Dwayne thought.

But where can I buy iron armour? Dwayne pondered to himself. Of course, I'll just buy it from the Grand Exchange! Dwayne smiled to himself and the Bank clerk gave him a funny look at this weird fella just smiling while looking at his money pouch.

Dwayne had forgotten everything about depositing the sardines and ran happy down the stairs, and sure enough, at the ground floor outside the kitchen there lay yet another circular pebble. Oh well, Dwayne thought as he picked the 3rd of this stones up, I wonder what they're for; they must be for something with this strange symbol on it.

Dwayne didn't give it much thought and continued his walk out into the courtyard, where upon he noticed Phileas waving to him, no, beckoning him to come over to him. Dwayne wondered what Phileas might want to share to him this time, since he had been so helpful in earlier. "My friend!" Phileas called. "Hello again, Phileas!" Dwayne smiled up to his ears. "I noticed you walk around here a lot and don't use the lodestone to teleport to." Phileas said and Dwayne was taken a bit back. "Tele-port?" Dwayne asked. "Why, yes. The home teleport ritual. You can activate lodestones across Gielinor and teleport to any lodestone with the home teleport ritual." Phileas pointed at a nearby circular platform with an up arrow symbol on it.

"Tell me more." Dwayne was quite curious now. He had heard about teleporting magic before growing up in Ashdale, how it was a fast means of travel, but he had never imagined he would be able to learn this arcane magic of instantaneous travel. Magic seemed something for scholars and wise men. "My friend, just go up to the lodestone and touch it with your outreached palm, magic will do the rest." Phileas assured him. It wouldn't hurt to try, Dwayne thought as he went straight for the stone platform. Dwayne walked to platform, knelled down and touched the platform with his palm - instantly Dwayne felt a tingling sensation in his hand that went straight to his head and got a sensation of home with flashes of Ashdale and Lumbridge in his mind. "Woah!" Dwayne exclaimed as he quickly stood up again.

"Friend!" Phileas shouted. "You seem surprised. ... Here, take this book." Dwayne walked back to Phileas, where Phileas was waiting with a blue book with a 'H' symbol on it presented to him. "When you want to teleport to any of the lodestones you have activated, just sit down and read the incantation of that lodestone off this book, it will teleport you to that lodestone." Phileas said. Phileas had already turned the page in the book to a page with a large 'L' symbol on it. The incantation was simpler than what Dwayne had imagined it to be, it simply said: "Home teleport to Lumbridge." Dwayne looked up to Phileas with one raised eyebrow and a misdemeanor of skepticism on his face: "This is it?" "The magic is contained in the book itself, the incantation itself is magic bound to those words." Phileas reassured. "Really?" Dwayne said with some disbelief. "Give it a try." Phileas nodded and handed to book to Dwayne.

Dwayne took the 'H' book, which apparently was the Home Teleport book and sat down with it in his hand and turned the page to the 'L' page. Just looking at the words while sitting down he felt a surge of energy and everything went white.

Dwayne's vision blurred all white, and sure enough, when his vision returned he was standing on the platform. Dwayne had a feeling of belonging to this place. "ha ha." Phileas laughed, "That isn't quite the large 'instantaneous' travel, friend, but that's how it is done." Phileas looked with pride in his face as Dwayne collected himself from the experience of the Home Teleport ritual. "Magic is strange!" Dwayne loudly proclaimed. "Here, take this lodestone map", Phileas presented a large map to Dwayne. It had magic symbols on it which seemed alive as he touched the map. It was similar to the other map Phileas had given him earlier, but this map had a feeling of magic about it. "It shows which lodestones are in Gielinor and which you have unlocked, friend." Phileas noted.

On this lodestone map he saw lodestones from far and wide, and only one lodestone was unlocked, Lumbridge. ... What is Tirannwn? Dwayne thought puzzled at the edge of the western world.

"You have been such a good friend, and I have not given you anything in return." Dwayne said. "Your friendship is good enough for me." Phileas answered.

Dwayne collected himself after speaking with Phileas and thought of all the lodestones and all the places he wanted to visit on the lodestone map. Now my adventure really begins, thought Dwayne as he head out with the Grand Exchange on his mind and destination.

"I can't thank you enough." Dwayne said and offered his hand to Phileas. "Friend ...", Phileas and Dwayne shook hands, "... if there ever is a question on your mind, please come visit any time and ask." Phileas said and smiled. "I will." Dwayne answered. And with that Dwayne walked off across the bridge over the river Lum and headed North.

Dwayne headed towards Varrock. On his way Dwayne passed the goblins, the cow pen, the chicken farm, potato farm and went round the eerie henge with the nefarious looking black-hooded men. Now Dwayne noticed the nearby lodestone. Ah, this must be Varrock's lodestone, Dwayne thought. He went to the lodestone and touched it with an outreached palm, as with Lumbridge's lodestone he felt a sudden feeling of home with a flash of memory of Ashdale, and now Varrock. Dwayne took out his lodestone map, and sure enough, Varrock was now unlocked on the map.

Dwayne went into the city, North past the central fountain and West, into the Bank and Northwest headed to the Grand Exchange. He noticed a strange figure he hadn't noticed before just outside the Bank. This figure seemed to have no bottom half and floated in mid air with purplish skin wearing a top hat, fine gray clothes and a golden cane. A genie? Dwayne thought, but aren't those only in the Eastern Lands? He pondered. The figure stood outside a strange wagon and had 4 figurines around him, models wearing some strange outfits.

Dwayne's curiousness got the better of him and he approached the genie-looking figure and asked: "Good day, are you a genie?" "Good day to you too, sir. Welcome to Solomon's General Store; purveyor of fine goods and ingenious items." The figure seemed to bow, as he greeted Dwayne. "But are you a genie?" Dwayne insisted. The figure responded: "I am Solomon Madini, at your service - yes, I am a genie ...", Solomon seemed to stop himself in his speech and further said: "... that is all you need to know. May I interest you in my quality goods? Yes?"

"I don't know. I don't have much in gold coins." Dwayne said a tad apprehensive. "Gold coins?" Solomon seemed to sneer, "oh, no, no, no. I only deal in the finest wares - gold coins? Pah! Do you have any runecoin? Or do you even know what runecoins are?" Solomon seemed disappointed. "Runecoins? No, can't say that I do." Dwayne was slightly offended. "You see, yes, that the Lords of the Land wish to only deal in runecoins, and I can tell that you've not been very loyal either." Solomon's voice gave a hint of unabashed contempt. "Huh? What does my loyalty play into it? To whom?" Dwayne wanted to just walk away, but not enough to give up this discussion. "The Lords of the Lands, of course, who else?!" Solomon was shouting now. "I'm going now, 'K. Thanks. Cya." Dwayne was fed up with this pompous genie. 'Lords of the Land' my Zamorak, Dwayne thought, and headed towards the Grand Exchange.

That's when he saw him. A man adorned in spectacular black armour with purple trim, that had an circular insignia with an 'x' in the middle of the platebody with spikes coming out it on top. The man had appeared just in front of the Grand Exchange out of thin air and ran south towards a building with a windmill. On his back he had a flowing red, green and white cape with white trim along with white glistening particles glowing at the bottom of the cape. He looked very powerful, just from the armour this man was wearing. Dwayne stopped and stood there with his jaw dropped as he saw the man fade away in the distance and could just see him enter the building with the windmill. Without a second thought, Dwayne ran to the windmill building, but as he tried to enter, the door was locked.

"You can't enter the cooking guild! You're not experienced enough." A voice said coming from the building. "What?" Dwayne was taken off guard. "How do you know I'm not experienced enough?" "Because I -don't- know you. And you're not wearing the right equipment either." The voice said.

"Well, when am I 'experienced' enough and what equipment do I need then?" Dwayne asked, standing in front of what appeared to be the Cooking Guild's locked door. "Come back when you can cook at least some tuna or something other more refined, like a cake; and come wearing a chef's hat at least." The voice behind the door said. Tuna, cake, a chef's hat? Dwayne thought, I got my work cut out for me.

Dwayne turned away from the Cooking Guild and back to the Grand Exchange.

Inside the Grand Exchange he saw many people standing around the 2 Southernmost booths. People were chatting and someone had lit a bonfire just south of the Southwest booth, with people gathered around the bonfire adding logs and even cooking strange looking fish with an appendage sticking out its head. Dwayne noticed a woman saying: "Looking for a boyfriend." over and over, and a man asking: "Could anyone spare me a few million gold coins?" What?! Thought Dwayne, a few -million- gold coins?! Is this man insane? And what is it with this loitering woman asking for companionship at a place of trade? Not very romantic, Dwayne thought.

Dwayne shook his head as he went to the booth and asked the Grand Exchange clerk to put in some buy offers. He went through the catalog and found he could buy an iron set at a medium price for merely 1,979 gold coins ... with a plateskirt. For some reason the iron set with platelegs cost more than 3,000 coins; more than what Dwayne had in his money pouch. Dwayne didn't think much of the looks, than more of the price, so he put in a buy offer for the iron set with the plateskirt in at the medium price, 1,979 gold coins. "Your offer has filled." The clerk immediately said as soon as he put it in. That was quick, Dwayne thought. Dwayne withdrew the set, but he was unable to do anything with it. "Uhm, how do I unpack this set?" Dwayne asked the clerk. "Just exchange the set for its corresponding items with me." The Grand Exchange clerk said. "Oh, thanks." Dwayne replied.

Dwayne checked his money pouch, he seemed to have 876 gold coins left on counting it. Dwayne looked through the Grand Exchange buy catalog again for iron weapons. Steel weapons seemed unwieldy to him and some of these exotic weaponry he had never heard of. More than a billion gold coins for a wand? That's madness, thought Dwayne. Dwayne put in an offer of medium, 27 gold coins, for an iron longsword. The offer didn't fill immediately this time. Hmm, guess I'll offer more for it then, Dwayne thought. He redacted the offer at 27 gold coins and increased it to 40 gold coins. "Your offer has filled." The Grand Exchange clerk said. Dwayne withdrew the iron longsword ... and 5 gold coins, apparently someone else had an offer for selling iron longsword for 35 gold coins, which Dwayne got. Ohhh, so that's how it works, Dwayne thought as he rubbed his chin with his left hand.

Dwayne equipped the iron armour ... and skirt and wore the iron longsword and shield on his back. What about a cape? Dwayne thought. Nah, I don't need a cape, what's it good for anyways? Dwayne reminisced about the green, red and white cape with the white trim he had seen earlier with the awesome looking white glowing particles coming off it. It must've been a very special cape, Dwayne thought as he tried to imagine himself wearing it.

"What a noob." Someone said behind Dwayne as he was still facing the booth. Dwayne turned around. A man wearing a simple blue shirt and blue trousers, and what looked like a blue paper hat on his head and another one of those white sparkly capes, yet this one was all blue with white trim. "Excuse me?" Dwayne said. "Noob." the man said again and laughed out loud.

Dwayne looked around him, no one else was paying attention to him or the silly-hatted man. They were still going about their business cooking and throwing wood on a bonfire, while other people were facing the booth doing weird stuff Dwayne couldn't tell what they were doing.
