little follow up. I got 250 of 250 for last runescorable event participation, and now... I kinda have little to no motivation to do the not special events.

I can't stop doing KBD though. I have only seen ONE person get a core, she made the luck facet, and it sold for 1.6b.

I kinda want the abyss one too, and no one will ever make it, so I know I have to make my own of that one.

Meanwhile I got 6 permanent obelisk, and 8 dragon rider boots. Ugh...

Not yet done with 250 events, but that should happen somewhen next week. The events certainly are rewarding for what they are (and I think I'll even continue to do a couple of the skilling ones, just for their xp drops), albeit I yet have to see an onyx core or even the obelisk for myself - have gotten a decimation bow though.

The dragonrider stuff certainly is way too common for what it is (but then those things never had purpose...) - especially when you consider it's a 1/2k drop from the KBD naturally. The trail-be-gones also kinda were made redundant considering those palmstones do exist now, so they brutally plummeted in value following the update. The amount of alchables (but why again exactly the same ones you already get from wildy slayer - why can't they diversify that stuff - we can't even get all orikalkum still due to this) and direct gp drops is insane.

Other than that - my concern rather is the very wild sack as it currently stands - brawlers are lacklustre as hell and shouldn't even be sold as you've gotten something awesome, since they failed to rework them into something adequate in 2022 - but on the other hand they even would be one of the more awful drops in the small sacks as it stands), dragon rider as said before, clue caskets can be nice, but also rather as a tertiary drop,... the weapon drops are nice if you're not getting the core I guess.

I think the remainder is a bit of mechanical fixes here and there, but overall the stuff is in a decent enough spot. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2

I know Jagex is looking to hire 66 people at the moment, but I beg all the gods at once they prioritize whatever employee it is that can improve detection methods for flocking mime script. The same players cheating with it also do things like buy high karma reddit accounts to flood out discontent, but... the real silent majority of readers, lurkers, and people who just play runescape... they're getting unhappier about the abuses.

I like drama, but the drama should be about like "heeeey why can cannons be placed at wildy flash events" though, and not drama about "why are you a single operator of six mimes flocking with script plug ins to these shady toolkits and overlays that get way too much of a pass for helping players cheat the rankings for number of clues solved!?"

Nearly done with the 250 achievement. Currently standing at 229/250. Hopefully will complete it by tomorrow.

The PKers are making a nuisance of themselves though. Dropping cursed energies on the ground where you need to click for bones for the Evil Bloodwood Tree: Feed event. Bringing familiars which can be clicked on to attack and strategically moving and placing them wherever players need to click on butterfly in the Butterfly Swarm event.

Jagex may not want to piss PKers off by completing removing any opportunity for them to trick or fool players into PVP situations but they risk pissing the shit out of everyone else in allowing these stupid and very sophomoric situations to even exist.

Once I'm done with the 250 for measly 5 RuneScore, I won't be doing it ever again. Fuck the PKers and Jagex for continuing to make it possible for them to troll and grief players. It may be amusing to you but it is not for the rest of us. The rewards suck. I'll never get a core so why should I continue kidding myself and why should I bother with an event that is just there to allow PKers to continue to do as they please.

My guess is once the majority of players get their capes back, few with bother with the 250 achiev other than those few like myself who hate seeing an incomplete achievement just sitting there. But there most likely won't be anyone bothering with anything other than KBD for that stupid "increased" chance at a core drop, which still comes down to pathetic RNG and the likelihood that they'll just get even more damn Dragon Rider boots and gloves instead. Just how many can any one player have before they've had enough?

And the other rewards really do suck ass. The Trail-be-gone nonsense is ridiculous when you are regularly piled on by monsters at Threat Level 0 so these lower it to what, sub 0 and you'll most likely still get targeted by the meteor or green arrow? And the Portable Obelisk -- nearly everyone by now has at least two of them. *sigh*

It's so laughable, that griefers actually show again and again and again, that even what was left of their cesspool is still way too much. I don't know why there are still devs, who think, a dumb decision of some long gone dude, who obviously had no clue of what game design is, had made in 2001 would even be remotely something worth to be preserved. But considering, that literally nothing of value is bound to those broken and crappy mechanics they at least could finally shut it down entirely without any further notice. It went from an 'integral part of the game' to some they're basically just tolerating now after all...

I see the events as viable enough to jump in for a quick cash grab and their xp rewards for most of the skilling things and at least the evil tree can be soloed - I am just not super sure if the KBD is balanced for this.

Volcano attacks at threat 0 are basically harmless (some low three digit hit without praying), so for that matter trail-be-gones may fullfil some purpose if you're not in there for combat purposes - for ambushes it might help if you're also attacked by weaker monsters and not just less numerous ones - why do I get attacked by an abyssal lord, when my threat level still is 0? Haven't seen the greater demon variants though so far at that point... But the issue is - palmstones do that better than trail-be-gones...

Have gotten my first obelisk today, just right after they announced you'll be able to alch them (for 500k). But yeah - onyx core might be worth billions for an activity basically everybody with a membership could do, but I also see it as way too rare - otherwise it wouldn't cost billions two weeks later for an activitiy basically everybody with a membership could do... one thing mod jack is actually really good at is denying ochlocracy. he does seem prudently aware of how those with alt accounts for pk'ing were able to vote more than once per player for the old "bring wildy back" which resulted in wildy basically being abandoned. players matching the number of votes did not appear, and instead they all went to the hideous dating game for cheat happy macro twitch ethots and sugar babies formerly known as osrs.

I have a slight hunch that if I ever want the other 2 drops from wyrms I should do them now, before the whole thing is revealed as bait, and then turn pvp back on as before. I kinda don't care though. Without meaningful bad luck or collection mitigation in place... I have 2 spike and I quit. I remain mad I could get a 2nd spike before getting a heart or a scalp.

thats always been broken. it was always broken, too, that a skulled player could hop worlds, like, at all, ever. getting skulled should pin you to the world where you attacked someone. really really intoduce players to consequence culture.

"pk'ers" are all cowards. vermin. filth. rapists. cheaters.

I am mad jackal, and I testify to stand up coin up tournaments for street fighter, dark stalkers, etc; and NO ONE will ever admire levelling up MMO pvp. I know it. They seem to know it too. Now. Maybe. They lost our trust, though, and the wound is going to truly take some time to heal.

I am still hounded my world by this one dude who made it his examine that he killed me, and he uploaded his own screenshots of... getting 17k worth of royal hide and wild arrows from me... when he came to a wildy flash demon mob praying, shanked me, and then left. I came back and finished the demon. He was long gone. All of them are cowards like that.

I'll take that prompt to deliver a mea culpa. When they asked us to vote between elf city and invention... I voted invention, and now I think elf city was probably the better update for the game. I happen to love invention, but... spending money to roll the dice on perks you want, and getting lackluster results probably leads to players fading out of the game more often than we have metrics to spot. So anyone who voted for elf city probably voted better than me.

I do, however, remain proud to have voted no wildy back. I hope they do have metrics to see what percent of what votes kept playing. I bet I already know people who voted no wildy back were more loyal... than those who voted yes, and then went to wild overlay* hell osrs.

* if any video exists of anyone getting infernal cape without tiles highlit to stand on during the moving shield bit I havent seen it, nor have I seen a video of it without some tart (gender neutral tart use intended) squealing throughout as coins jangled through the corresponding twitch slot.

so again... I do want to love this wildy flash event stuff the very most of the legacy of zamorak updates, but... its really the one that needs the most work.
