given the size of the island, and that there are apparently 6 different heards of carnivorous dinosaurs on the island, i can only assume we arrived at that exact point in time where, after over breeding, the carnivorous dinosaurs had just finished eating the last of the herbivores before starting to desperately hunt fish and kill each other in order to avoid dwindling to extinction

to think, if we had waited a couple more years they would have all been dead lol

grass is very new/young. like 100k yrs old or something. dino herbivore yeah, but not like how you think probably.

pro tip for wilderness survival: shoot the deer, open its stomach, and eat the mush you pull out of its stomach. super wasteful, but... yknow... works if you need to survive in strange place or strange conditions. I have seen that in one movie, but also seen it irl a couple times too. Tastes absolutely vile, but wont kill you.

also note that all cats are evil murderers and go blind and die young if you make them vegan. yeah I started with where I heard in a comedy routine, but I kept looking. its ridiculous.

no-prize: I waded like a mile off shore in pensacola florida before and had dogfish (tiny sharks) swimmin around my ankles. technically I guess kinda dangerous, but you can grab em by hand. okies call it "noodlin." so big dino walk into water and bite a manta or shark easy. sailfish... not so much. those need much deeper water usually. but its possible.

edit/add: oh yeah and if dino had only grass theyd all have starved. they aint ever had the teeth for it. they need big flat cow teeth to grind grass. go look even dino you think werent predators got some barbwire lookin teeth. wouldnt work on grass.
I have quit rsof because moderator found comments about darklight bonus damage on demons "off topic" for wildy flash mobs full of demons

earthly saurapods were the largest land dwellers ever. they were all herbivores. They probably ate tree foilage, not grasses. elephant like bodys with really long necks and tails.

giraffes in modern times eat primarily tree foilage, not grass. anachronia has lots of trees, bushes as well as grasses.

interesting point about humans showing up at the precise time that the carnivorous dinos finished eating the last of the herbivores.

I suppose some of them could eat mantas or even sharks. but I would think that is not a consistent diet for them. sailfish are a blue water species and very unlikely to be eaten by landbound dinos.
