I've noticed occasionally that while in mob killing, auto-retaliate will take you out of the center.
This has not been a huge issue, but merely an inconvenience.
However, with the elite dungeons its much more noticeable. Especially when in melee.
Its really aggravating when you queue up quake or hurricane and suddenly your running out of the pack to a solo npc, where your thresholds fullest potential is wasted.

It seems to me, in a real melee fight, you are going to attack the closest enemy first, instead of the one that most recently hit you from across the room.

The fight with masuda is maddening when he floats up and you get attacked by the water pools. If you allow auto-retaliate you end up running up and down the steps many times, leaving an area where there is another spawn near the one you just killed. Ridiculous.

Obviously, this is much less an issue with range or mage fighting. Maybe the designers that be can re-think the mechanics of melee auto-retaliate.

yes. but that means more clicking. I've been doing that more in elite dungeons. I'm merely pointing out that running across the map to hit a solo ranger when your already in a mob of 8 melee npcs is a bit goofy. A lot goofy.

I honestly thought this thread might be about the way that the perk "cautious" toggles your auto retaliate off, and then you find its still off later when you just drank an aggress potion and nothing is happening, and you're like "D'OH!"

...cause thats saddled with Prosper when yer toolin, and then you switch, and yer settings been changed. I feel like Cautious should disable autoretaliate a different way. Not a great big deal though.
I have quit rsof because moderator found comments about darklight bonus damage on demons "off topic" for wildy flash mobs full of demons
