===== Section 76: Ports V4 Suggestions 1 =====
SAFE PvE: Conquer the islands and territories of the Eastern Lands (Arc-Shield regions) from both NPCs and players using your strategy/combat skills as well as your own fleet (crew and ships) from your own Player Owned Port.

- Players are given a chance to conquer islands, build territories, and rule over entire regions (Arc-Shield).

Like this, but over the Arc-Shield regions:

- Build/upgrade ships (eventually, fleets) to fight other players, AI, raid merchant ships, and conquer/defend islands.
- Benefits/new unlocks to your combat/conquest activities as you increase your port score.
- Both PvP and NPC rulers/merchants/pirates to battle, with intelligent AI of different tiers of skill and resources/ships under their command.
- Players are registered to a specific world for a week or month, allowing PvP activity/conquest on that world only.
- Elo rating system, with minimum base score that is your port score.
- Hiscores for both the Elo rating system and current amount of territory under a player's control.

- New pets: 8 golem made from Bamboo, Gunpowder, Slate, Cherrywood, Jade, Stainless Steel, Terracotta, and Azure. Owning pet golems gives passive benefit of +10% resource rewards.
- Superior Pearl Necklace (made with 250 Pearls): 5% chance to reduce incoming damage by 50%, stacks with Superior Leviathan Ring, +6 Prayer, +27 Damage all styles, +600 Lifepoints. Can be repaired with Pearls or coins.

=== New Standard Totems ===
- Cost 2000 Cherrywood + 3000 Jade each
- # inside parenthesis means value at 1, 2, 3, and 4 totems respectively
- Totem to increase reduce total voyage time (4%, 7%, 9%, 10%)
- Totem to increase XP gains for captain and crew (8%, 14%, 18%, 20%)
- Totem to increase chance of getting 3 adventurers at reset/reroll (8%, 14%, 18%, 20%)
- Totem to increase positive traits/bonuses on new crew recruits (8%, 14%, 18%, 20%)

=== New Elite Totems ===
- Cost 2000 Terracotta + 3000 Azure each
- Require the standard totems to be already built at the spot, and are an upgrade.
- Looks better and have 1.5-2x the increases of the regular totems.
- Jade Statue totem will upgrade to Azure Statue totem

I'm not sure, it might depend on how much support Player Owned Ports expansion gets on the annual Runescape survey for next year's content. I'm personally hoping we get Ports V4 and Skull Region in 2018, especially right after RS Mobile comes out - that'll be perfect synergy.

Nothing Ports or Skull region was mentioned at RuneFest. Closest sea-related is Deep-sea Fishing (active, pay attention training) and Pieces of Hate grandmaster quest (Pirates finale).

Getting 35K chimes captains should be purely RNG besides unlocking the Shield region and building the Ostentatious Bar. It wouldn't hurt to focus on Shield region though, unless you have plans for other resources.
