@Chee - As I've stated, I agree with that lock on the thread, and the decision was brought to us to OK before the FMod took any action.

I am not saying that thread was an "emergency," by any means... I explained that this occurred before there was this new system in place for moderating the HLF, and I stand by my decision to uphold the action that was taken by said FMod, and indeed, reiterate that we were consulted with before the action was taken.

This was not just some rogue attempt at moderation by an FMod, this was a conversation that was had on the CM side as to how to deal with moderation in this forum that eventually lead to us putting this new system in place. So you'll have to forgive the less than nuanced way of dealing with things before this development.

But as it stands now, I would make the same call regarding that thread, so arguing about this seems to be a rather moot point.

So no, I don't believe it was an emergency, but I also do believe the thread should have been locked, and that's the main point of contention here.

If you truly feel that strongly about this, I'd suggest you bring it to Forum Moderation Review. Community Manager for Jagex
