it won't let you, and/or doesnt display fyrtorch over oh melee weapon, and crystal hatchet will... so... er...

I thought maybe today since new things like shadow touch set manpurse... er... messenger bag? that thing. you can blade dive with it, so...

now a good time to ask?

mind you I read, and I love the lore, and I get that its a little bit of an obscenity to fight with sana hands, but... I wanna.

It's not a weapon, so all it probably could override would be other skilling offhands (and maybe-ish magic off-hands).

The reason you can BD with it is they distinctly have allowed this for tools - which most of them are not classified as weapons at all or just not as melee weapons (like butterfly nets) - in conjunction with a skilling offhand. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2
