It hasn't been too well known, but people who know of this thread > (Completables and Non-Repeatables V2) have all been aiming to get 100% completion.
Good thread, rip lizafer

I don't see caps as completion. They're redoable, don't reward anything, don't affect anything, and most are just nauseatingly unrealistic. They're the same as "be first in highscore" quality.

I never thought of making a true trim list or hiscore myself. I assumed it would be a hiscore for only those who have completed everything, but I realised it'd be more interesting to also see the people who are closest to completing it as well, similar to the overall XP hiscores and the race to 5.4b XP.

I personally was racing a few friends of mine to true trim, but it wasn't widely known who was the closest to 100%.

As for how the rankings will work, once you reach 100% your rank will be permanent, but your percentage completed will still be able to drop below 100%. For example:

1.
(100%)
Dxnxex7
(first to complete everything)
2.
(95%)
Player A
(second to complete everything)
3.
(100%)
Player B
(third to complete everything)
4.
(90%)
Player C
(not yet completed everything)

I'm never going to encourage anyone to buy anything other than RuneScape membership (even bonds), so no I will never be including any mtx content in the requirements. I understand your point about people using mtx to achieve experience (which is very sad in my opinion). I am going to have to rewrite all of the rules and be very careful of the wording, this will happen eventually when I have a more definite answer about the type of requirements that will be included.

Hiya AOROX, yep I've know about that thread for time.

My point about 'the race already been won' is more about this scenario...

AOROX: Hey Indy, I'll race you to 200 mil firemaking.

Indy: But you already have 200 mil firemaking xp.

AOROX: Yep and here's the hiscores...

1st: AOROX
last : Indy

If people were to see a similarity between the above scenario and these hiscores, I think that's understandable. But I don't wish to be so blunt or presumptuous to anyone. Thus I worded it in such a way in my previous post and asked questions in regard to how this all works :)

I'm hoping that's not the case here, there is a void when it comes to dynamic hiscores. Would be nice to see something that doesn't become stagnant, as in other Hall of Fame.
Oh yeah. I sort of understand what you mean now :P

PS: Let's race to 200M firemaking ;)

Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.

Awesome, that makes sense. Fast response too!

Wording is tricky to get right, something I continually struggle with (thus my 2000 char posts). Tbh you've done a really nice job. Knowing how ranks work is a must though and I appreciate your reply.

Its clear you've put a lot of thought and no doubt time into this and my post is not to pick fault, but to gain an understanding and hopefully give a different perspective.

The ranking system you describe interests me, will be nice to see what happens when a few people get ranked (I wont ever be one of them).

I have read and re·read your thread a few times, and played with your spreadsheet too (nice work on that btw). I didn't have enough characters to wrap up my post in a way I would have liked, I'll take that opportunity now...

The time and effort doing this kind of thing properly (hiscores) is something most people never see, but I have a small clue how much work it takes. So even though these hiscores will never apply to me, that doesn't diminish how much I respect and appreciate the work you put in.

I wish you the best in maintaining your 100% true trim!

Forever truly untrimmed here :)

Sure, but lets make it interesting and toss 200 mil hunter into the mix too!

@Indy This is more of a "hall of fame" as you put it, not really a competitive race. It might contain an element of competition since there has to be some type of ordering system but it's really just about recognizing people who are completing the game just for the sake of completing the game. The fact that the OP is rank 1 on the list only gives the thread more credibility since he would be the expert on the topic.

XP can be completed entirely without MTX so it should still be listed. The current state of XP is unfortunate and so is the fact that it arguably almost loses it's validity because of it. I've never bought a single spin, but if these people still feel fully accomplished with their accounts then more power to them.

Impressive achievements!

You could add the Cornucopia and Deployable herb burner unlocks. Both were available in previous holiday events but can now be obtained in game (from birds/ghosts) at any time and can then be reclaimed from Diango when destroyed (this reclaim option is what we're unlocking/completing), similar to the ectoplasmator.

Also I think obtaining a Kethsi ring should be included in the list (if you decide to keep items that must be stored in the bank on the list) as it is a somewhat rare RNG-base untradable item.

Thanks, I forgot to look through everything Diango holds, I'll do that now.

So there are a few things I could do to the requirement lists. All feedback is appreciated.

1. Leave the requirements as they are. The current requirements include completable content and also additional content which is not strictly completable. This is one of the ways True Trim could be represented.

2. Remove all requirements which are not strictly completable. This would leave the requirement lists completable and non repeatable only. There would be no debate whether or not a requirement is added in the future.

3. Remove almost all requirements which are not strictly completable. The requirements that would remain would be items similar to death hats where you can upgrade the item and not downgrade it unless you choose, or extremely rare items such as Vitalis - before it was in the Pets Interface and before it was required for Insane Final Boss. Each piece of content will be looked at on a case-by-case basis.

4. Other changes made to the non-completable requirements. Please post suggestions.

I'm not sure which lists would represent True Trim the best on this "official" hiscore.
