id rather them be indecisive and get the player base what it wants rather then force something through without review
i honestly think the player base as a majority wants 120 slayer, its just the vocal ass minority thats making jagex go flimsy, and if they want to have a vote, they should make a minimum of 92 slayer to vote, because if you dont even half of 99 at this point you aint getting 120
and honestly? i think they should just put comp stats and avas on max and give skilling utility to comp to make it worth while, pvmers max, compers skill
and in 100% realism, they should ignore whats said on stream and reddit by 'players', because lets be honest, theres no reason to think those people even play runescape......

i edited a tiny bit after sorry ^.~, but id prefer comp stats and ava just go to max, forcing pvmers to do quests for combat is stupid imo, why force somebody to do something they hate for best stats?
on the counter, i think its fine to have pvm on comp, mqc is the cape for people who want to go half way
Comp should've always been the cosmetic* cape for showing off. As soon as you make something like that required for every day benefits, the prestige dies because now everyone has to have it. Which we're about to see with Slayer.
Even though I'm a mere 20m XP from it, I've gained like 15m XP since the announcement and I hope they scrap it. It was a rushed decision in my opinion. However, if they're going to cancel it, they better do it now before lots of people grind to 120 only for the update to be cancelled.

As it stands, this is also what people are doing. Releasing content after everyone has grinded the skill to keep their cape and then they won't do the content past any little requirements (like lore books or whatever) is an awful design mechanic. If they want us to kill more shit, then they should make a new elite skill that uses Slayer as one of the requirements. That was the whole premise of elite skills.

I agree with this premise. However they can still accomplish something similar depending on how they actually structure the content they release. Suppose 120 is just the beginning of access to the brand new content. Then we'd have to go through a big process of actually unlocking each of the tasks within the new slayer area they're going to provide us with. This way everyone with 120 is at the same starting point, and those who grind through the content and achieve the higher ends of it quicker are the ones rewarded the heaviest.
Essentially the same as training a brand new skill without needing to actually create a brand new skill. Those who just care about comp req can be done after 120, and those of us who want a true progression system and want to be rewarded for our 120 slayer can benefit from the content.
That being said, theres absolutely no way they're going to release the content in such a manner, and im sure we'll just have some new monsters with some basic mechanics and then they'll drop shit.
