Growing up, my grandmother was one of the most (and only, really) supportive people (person) of me playing RuneScape. She is the one who saw the joy and smiles it brought me rather than seeing it as her grandson sitting in front of his computers for hours on end. She passed away in January of 2012, 5 days before her 70th birthday. I was heartbroken and crushed. 5 days later, on what would have been her 70th birthday, I maxed and achieved the completionist cape.

Tl;dr I dedicated obtaining my completionist cape to my grandmother, one of the best women in my life. I can guarantee she was smiling as I comped, just as I was. This is why RuneScape means so much to me - I know she'd be proud to hear my progress (while having no idea what I'm talking about) and that she'd want me to go even further, which I have - I also dedicated trimming to her. I wish she could be able to see so much more. Trimmed Completionist #333. Still bad at this game. Fresh Papis.

You're an awesome guy Nick. I am sure your grandmother would be proud of that as well!

Thank you for sharing this piece of your life with us too, as I am sure it is at least somewhat difficult to revisit those memories, even though they are positive ones.
