Well yeah, I just mean in the sense that all you have to do is grind out Barrows for a few hours/days which isn't too terribly difficult - especially when you compare it to obtaining long-term high tier equipment on RS3.

I don't expect that someone would rationally go to GWD to get an SGS for Slayer -cough boaty cough- except as a personal goal. I suppose a Saradomin Sword is good for training but honestly I don't think it's better than a Dragon Scimitar by far (and I think a scimitar is actually better when used with a defender?) and that's much easier to obtain. I think the ease of access for weapons that can actually do something in OSRS is a lot lower than for RS3. I know Chaotics aren't that difficult to obtain either in that sense but I think comparing going to Ape Atoll to buy a scimitar or grinding DG for 4 hours makes my point a little more clear.

The games themselves are a little too different to compare thanks to EoC (OSRS combat is a lot slower, so there is that), but as far as 'best in slot' items go - I guess just looking at Slayer and not so much bossing - I think OSRS has it easier. I'm actually looking forward to grinding for some of those items because I know it won't take as long as on here.

e: I'm kinda curious, which nox weapon would you guys make first? I have a web and an eye but not a single leg piece yet so I'm still kinda far away, but I was thinking the bow would be better for bossing and the eye would be better for Slayer. I'm kinda torn.

In general I'd get the Scythe first, because that's the best weapon to kill Araxxor (so it would be easiest to finish the set). Going to be difficult without a Fang though.
Other than that I guess it just depends on what you do most, and what alternatives you have (your best mage weapon vs your best range weapon). You will never get anything for free. Anyone claiming that is trying to scam, lure or hijack you.

Well I have a DRL and no fang and I'd prefer to do make a nox weapon as soon as I can, I'm just stuck between the web and eye. I guess the web would be better for things like Nex though, I'm just concerned with Slayer and whatnot because I have to get that to 120 eventually lol.

I just recently started working on the ironman account i made back when they were released, spent 5 min on then didn't log back on again for years except to partially complete last years Halloween event. Currently trying to see if i can manage to earn enough gold for a bond in f2p. I know i could give it one from my main but I'd like to be able to say i didn't even leach bonds off my main.

Current plan of attack is grinding smiting and mining high enough to make addy stuff to alch.

Iron's name is Sci Fe.

I'll probably end up giving in and giving it a bond at some point long before i get half the gold. That or giving up on it entirely. Look in the spoiler.

I wouldn't worry about the integrity of giving yourself a bond, since it's for membership and you could do that anyway with money.

Also, I love the punny name :P

I thought about Fe Chee because it would rhyme but I'm glad I went with Iron.

Imo Irons should spend money on other things than bonds but its up to you I guess.
Maybe droptrade scrimshaws for bonds later in the game? I did that for most of my VIP pack bonds. Actual cash has better uses

Thanks for the welcome and advices.

It's more about whether I can do it than what others would think if I gave it bonds from my main. Perhaps I'll get enough cash for one then give it a bond and leave the cash on it, still fulfilling my goal of getting enough for a bond in f2p but with the iron keeping the cash for better uses.
