2004 was my favorite year. I started playing RS back in the classic days but never felt like going members as the game felt like it was too primitive for me to spend money on. When RS2 was released, it was how I always wished the game looked.
It had real sound effects.
It had music.
The sky wasn't black.
You can run.
Agility had you jumping and actually crawling.
There were skilling animations.
While this game has managed to re-invent itself with RS HD, RS 3 and NXT, there has never been such a profound difference as there was between RSC and RS2. NXT still rides on the foundation of RS2.
The irony here is I might be going back to RS2 (OSRS) if Jagex doesn't get their head out of their ass with these MTX things.
Jagex 2019 New Year Resolution... MTX our customers until RS3 SERVER SHUTDOWN PARTY!
The RS3 Community is treated like
RUBBISH
due to constant TH promotions.
Don't buy keys on Treasure Hunter, if you do Jagex will only make more TH promotions

The year 2026 when the final update is them shutting down all RS servers for good. It will be my favorite update because I will finally rid of this accursed RS addiction.

Which year was your favourite and why?
What were your favourite updates for every year?
My favourite year so far is 2008 because of the following updates (pretty much all of them dead content now):
- As a first Resort Quest and Oo'glog spa with that (January)
- Funorb (not RuneScape, but I love(d) it) (February)
- Gnomecopters, which are nice for F2P (March)
- Fist of Guthix (April)
- Great Orb Project (August)
- Stealing Creation (November)
- While Guthix Sleeps (November)
- RuneScape France (December) (yes I like that)

While Guthix Sleeps (November)
I always thought WGS was December but I could be misremembering because that's when I completed it
It was my last quest for QPC back in 2008
A lot of people completed Quest Cape with WGS. Believe I obtained it with it too. In fact a friend told me to do it. I did not QPC till 2010 though. Funny I beat him beating Nomad. I was actually one of the first people to beat the Nomad quest.
Many could not beat Nomad with the old Hit Points of 99. Sorry that was the challenge to beat Nomad with only 99 hitpoints. If you beat the quest after Constitution it was too easy.
