I've just completed a kill for Seiryu, the Azure Serpent and I was not awarded a kill count for the reaper crew achievement. Here is the screenshot below as proof:
In this screenshot, I have unlocked the last piece of music, Chaos of Corruption, which was after Seiryu has been freed from the evil influence. Also, in the photo, I have earned 5000 dungeoneering tokens from the encounter. I suspect that the reason I didn't get a kill count was when there was one black crystal left (with approximately 701 hp), I was in the middle of climbing up the shackles to Seiryu while my partner landed the final blow.
Edit: I actually reattempted the fight with a trio and managed to get the kc for it.
