To all the complainers about MTX, please shut your trap and move onto another game, if you don't enjoy Runescape, over one announcement, just do the simple thing. QUIT.
Stop gossiping and trying to make other players be manipulated into your opinion
Any Jagex employee reading this, don't worry what criticism you get, the real loyal player base, knows the decisions isn't just down to one Jagex Moderator.
Oh man all the things I could say about this.
Instead I'll just say this: I enjoy Runescape for the game, not for microtransactions and paywalls. But when such things are shoved down our throats and then called a "service" as if we should be thanking Jagex for adding them is when I get insulted.

Can't help but feel rs needs to become more like fortnite, completely free without constant reminders and mtx for only those who wish to look for it.
Ummm, isn't buying Bonds with gp for Mems the same thing as free? This is a free game.

Logistically, no.
If an NPC in-game sold Bonds for in-game wealth at a fixed price, then it would be free yes. But that's not what happens. Some chump buys bonds with real-world money. Doesn't matter where the bond ends up after purchase, it's still a fee. If nobody paid real money for bonds, you wouldn't be able to buy them with in-game money.
Using your logic, if I was given a car free of charge, that would mean all cars are free right? And since all cars are free everyone should have one and nobody can complain about them ever!
Just because it's "free" (someone still had to pay for it) for one person, does not make it free for everyone.

Well, you can pay for my enjoyment..... or not. Your choice.
I do not use rl money to play. It's a choice isn't it? I play for free !!! You can choose to complicate your choice. Mine is simple ! This is a free game for me and has been for a few years. If the price of Bonds (gp currency) keeps rising, there is a possibility my playing will get me busy making more gp. Still free until I run out of time.
