I'm getting really close to Mining cape slowly too. Not sure if I should just rely on Warbands to get it (will take a few more months still) or train it normally (using best method that is reliable enough) to get it faster.
I'm waiting until Prifddinas and going to do Mine/Smith together (or at least saving some gp on Smith).
