Note: as kills are tracked with the pre-release, players can work towards the Completionist unlock from that update. Bosses killed before this update will not count towards the achievement. However, we do have existing achievements in-game which will allow us to give players one kill on certain bosses (Barrows & Rots, Fight Caves, Fight Kiln, all GWD, QBD and Vorago including Hardmode) when the pre-release goes live.

Contradiction at it's finest.
What's contradicting here?
You can kill bosses to count for the req after the update, however, some bosses such as the ones listed can be killed at any time as they unlock other requirements or give certain items that can only be obtained from that boss

Virtus wand/book is fine and @Cassie, Seis are better now it seems with new treshold, rised from 870 to 920 after update for wand
This is the result of people panicking
Magic is actually better then pre update I think.
