Well each barrage cast worked like a 100% ability, not like regular autoattacks, so it didn't get boosted by momentum for instance.
Additionally when dual casting your mainhand would deal 150% damage AND offhand would also deal 150% damage, as opposed to range and melee where the offhand has half the damage of the mainhand. And you could hit this on up to 9 monsters, which made it rather OP and a nerf was much needed, but now I wonder if the spells will even be worth using over melee which has better AoE abilities. /:
