It's not too surprising considering winter Olympics are usually dominated by nations who have snow and mountain areas: Nordic countries (besides Denmark), Russia, Austria, USA, Germany, Canada.

GBR do a lot better in Summer olympics where Norway sucks :D (Norway, Austria and Liechtenstein are the only countries with more winter olympic wins than summer olympics they said earlier).
