I'm curious how they would buff shields though?

Shields are useful because of the abilities, not the defensive bonuses/lp, so one solution could be that the effectiveness of those abilities (e.g resonance/barricade) scale with the tier of shield.

Even then, people only use shields in a a few niche situations, offensive bonuses are far more important.

Congratulations! (assuming you just bought sgs/tassets for that high level slayer look)

I still haven't bought tassets because I use Verac's skirt for the prayer bonus (piety every task and sometimes I don't feel like flicking it for a whole hour).
