The reason I say buying a laptop with an SSD is pointless is because when I was looking at laptops for a friend, ones with 120GB SSDs (£50 value) were in excess of £100 more for the exact same specs on a model without an SSD.
Also, I'd wait for NVidia Pascal laptops to come out. To give you an idea of why...
The new NVidia Pascal GPU, the GTX 1070, priced at £280, offers the same performance as the current flagship £800 card... So yeah, huge upgrades for the current gen of GPUs, probably worth waiting.

I tried Novatech, looked a lot at PC Specialist, Amazon, etc. I can't remember all of the exact websites, I looked at places like PC world for part inspiration and then looked elsewhere to get a cheaper deal, but I'll check out some of the ones you recommend.
Yeah, would probably be an investment later in the summer after exams and I'd earned a little more money from work, but worth considering what I want now, I guess.
Release date for those seem to be in the summer, so I guess I'll wait and see on those.

Ya laptops with an SSD are pointless, mine currently has a 120GB one and someone I know has a newer model with a 1TB HDD with better specs and it was significantly cheaper new than mine was new so...
Top Gear was always one of those programs that I loved and thought was really funny when it was on, but I never had enough of an actual vested interest in cars to warrant me going out of my way to watch it.
