I love that ESPN has been trying rather hard to promote soccer (and Esports here recently too). However, I got a chuckle out of their promoted video for getting 0-0 draw highlights.
I noticed this, too. They're smart to buy up all the eSports stuff whilst it's cheap, though. A young Bernie Ecclestone springs to mind.

Yeah I think they feel like they missed the boat on MMA stuff, as they've really started trying to get into that too, so I think its led to them really trying to acquire as much Esports stuff as they possibly can because they're worried they'd miss out on something again. Quite a few networks are actually starting to show Esports stuff here now. I think TBS is going to have a weekly Friday night Esports broadcast. Kind of neat how something that used to be rather taboo is getting national spotlight now.
Bernie Ecclestone realised F1 was an unorganised shithole in the 70s, so he started doing the bidding on everyone's behalf and made his own company to do just that - He acquired the TV rights and offered it to all the teams for £100k each (10 teams, he paid £1m at the time I think), they all laughed him away. And now he(/his company/CVC) has a huge monopoly that rakes in $1.8b/year and only $900m makes its way down to teams, and not fairly, either.
There's potential for a similar story in something that's very much up & coming.
