The x64 and x84 (thought it was x86 but maybe it can be either, idk!) is probably referring to 32 bit system vs 64 bit system.. x86 (84?) is the designation for a 32 bit system, where x64 is a 64 bit system.
My understanding (which is limited) is that a 64 bit system can either use 64 bit programs or 32 bit programs, but a 32 bit system cannot use a 64 bit program. So if you can't install x64, maybe your system is 32 bit?
Or I could be wrong, it happens from time to time (a lot).
Someone else will probably have a better answer, just thought you might like some sort of response
