If that was meant for me, it allows me to check the item ID of any in game item and then using the Adv Log 3D viewer tool, I can view them on me without needing to actually own the items in question.
That's how I check how items I'll never ever get like the Maul of Omens look on me.

Considering how hard the list of the item IDs is to browse, its main purpose is to check all newly released items since they appear at the end of the list.
If I wanted to know some older item, there's no way to know how far they are in the list so I would pretty much have to either guess or check Adv Logs of people who are wearing it to find out the item ID, which is what I've done to many items like 3rd-Age items and Partyhats.
