Yakamaru is not anywhere near hardmode vorago, even on the hardest feats there is a big room for mistakes and a really good team can lose several players before the kill becoming truly impossible. Vorago is much more unforgiving with mistakes.
What's normal Rago like?

Easy. Base tanks can literally put Melee prayer on and just eat through a yak of rocktails if really bad or learning, and DPS barely takes damage if they stand in. Bomb tanks not so much, but even a bit of Defence abilities can go a long way in helping.

I have yet to try bomb but raids made me 30 times better at using a shield lol. Unfortunately though, I don't think there is much to it other than memorizing and applying optimal rotations that developed over the years. There is less freedom to play around and do your own thing, which is exactly what I do at raids and it works extremely well. If I start thinking what I should be doing everything goes wrong, if I improvise and don't think about it I won't even touch my yak (assuming the kill doesn't go horribly of course). The fact that vorago does not allow that, plus the state of the boss these days (rewards for the most part) just make me not care about it at all. Hi
