I used to not be able to kill Araxxi to save my life, and that triggered hate for the boss for many months (resulting in missed profits). I recently went back and told myself, "I can do it. I will get better and make BANK!" and now I'm much better than before - not pro, but better. I can consistently get kills without dying, and that's enough for me. I just need to work on kill speeds.
^ bad fps also contributed to my unwillingness but yea
If you go in expecting to be killed, then chances are you will. A lot of would-be good PvMers let thoughts like this hold them back. Your first trips will go bad, but you have to go through that to get better. If you give up, of course you won't improve. Just because you got destroyed on your first attempts, it doesn't mean you're bad, you're just learning
Duo Nex is extremely chill, though. As a DPS role, it's just like killing a normal slayer mob. I haven't been there in months though but I assume it's still the same as it was back when I did it. .

I have issues with reacting and paying attention which has been a problem for me with more intensive combat in the game.
However, it's not that big deal, I've never liked bossing or higher intensity combat, and that's why I mostly stay out of it, considering I don't really have much reason to even do it after I got my Comp reqs done (through lots of pain and struggle). Only thing I still kind of need is the Ripper Demons for QMC, but I fucking hate them.
