They seem pretty good now to me, can use them in the private hunting grounds and a failed catch gives half the exp you would get from a successful one

For the time being I'd lean towards the bracelet, simply because the ring can glitch out and disappear on you and you're out ~35m, for the sake of saving about 200k per death lol

HOWEVER Protean traps lose their attractiveness after 15 seconds so they must be picked up and relaid.

Ring of death for endgame bossing. Deathtouched bracelets are pretty good if you care about extra damage, but the ring can save more money for those still learning bosses.
