Internet issue has finally been resolved after a further 4 hours of checks. The engineer proved me wrong and resolved it.

I'm far from exchange too. My previous broadband was ADSL2++ and supported speeds of 24mb but since I was so far from exchange, I got about 2-5mb.

Hence why I went fibre .
