They're extremely nice. But it's like the military. They treat their family harsh at first to see if you will stick around. It's to weed out the weak people.

However, once you pass that year test, you're one of them and then you do the same to new recruits. Its just the way it works and I'm fine with that.

In fact, many people say the first year is their best year. A lot of jokes and pranks happen then. :)

Higher ups in the military are dicks here, and as far as I know they do it because they did the same to them (or at least that's what everyone says) and not to weed out the weaker. It's not just hard work they make you do, I would be ok with that. It's unfair things like making you run for 3 hours in the middle of the night because you sneezed and disrupted the silence or making you serve for 3 more days because your clothes are dirty, which happened because they asked you to do push ups in mud earlier. I'm probably biased here because we are forced to undergo 2 years of training and receive no salary for doing so, but that doesn't make it any better.

Besides the obvious fubar economy, one of the reasons I want to leave this shithole is to escape being enslaved for 2 years of my life. Hi

That's called going AWOL. That could get him court martialed for desertion and sent to prison. 7:^]

It wont. It's not as brutal as the actual military, but its not a cakewalk either.

It has the right amount of hardship with friends as well. They want you to pass.

So they'll give you crap, but they'll do it in a loving way lol x)
