I think its funny that the pikachu card from the very first set of pokemon cards had a move called Gnaw.. its so fitting :3

Even I remember this!
it also happens again in diamond&pearl and it was pikachu vs another raichu one which had learned hyper beam. pikachu lost their first battle(it was a traveling trainer named sho) and then ash's rival at the time also sees the loss and laughes D: ash takes out the thunderstone which he still had since vs lt surge and considers evolution again but pikachu refuses. they rematch and ofc pikachu wins x.x

pikachu and piplup or pikachu and axew. pikachu doesnt have a single straight pairing tho xd even tho people think togepi was a girl cos it used charm in jhoto i think it was a boy. gender doesnt matter for charm so it still could be(its gender was never confirmed!) idk why im saying togepi tho since it evolved into togetic x.x
