As you most likely don't PK often then.
Nox/Royal Bow can kill of Farcasters easily.
Mages base range is 8 regardless of weapon. Nox/Royal can outrange it.


Asc will most likely win for most PvM situations since I think the bow still only uses Arrows from Araxxor and no other arrows work such as bane arrows which gives those consistent QBD kills coz of the insane accuracy boost even when it's strong vs Range/Melee. Needle strike is also better in long pitched battles, not so much GWD bosses where they can be downed in like 10 seconds.

Places like ROTS are pretty closed in so 9 Attack Distance is useless there. 6 is more than enough.

People also prefer Nox bow at Araxxor over Asc for the distance and it helps on path 3 if you stay in the light and don't kill the eggs. You can most likely reach the 3 spiders that spawn from where you're standing without taking too much damage. Not that I care. I melee that boss.
