Hello from the Dutch forums as well. :P

I've seen many leaders have different focusses, which includes many focusses of prouvious leaders get dropped down.

So my question is: What are going to be your primary focusses?

And more interesting for me: What of the current things which are happening, aren't that important for you. And will most likely get neglected more?

As several others have noted, with the deletion of Rants, there have been more trolls and spammers in forums like OT, Existing Game content, etc., so this question is only half joke: Was there any irony that you deleted the rants forum within one week of an in-game update called "Troll Invasion"? O_o

Next, could we see more J-mod posts in the forums? Please? I just note several threads that look promising and there's no J-mod reply, while I've seen several legit threads in OT where J-mods reply. It's rather discouraging to see a J-mod posting on thread in OT and then seeing no reply to several old threads that seem like good ideas for implementation. I would like to see a change in that. I have no objection to the J-mods posting in OT (It actually adds an element of fun there ^_^ ), but could we see more feedback from them or even from the developer team?

Will you be adding any more Forum mods in the future?

Will you be implementing the forum improvements listed on the poll on the front page?

Why do you find it necessary to go onto facebook and Twitter? Anything you announce can easily be put onto the front page.

And I think that's about it. Thanks for your time. :)

I'd like to welcome and congratulate you on your new position, Mod Baker. :)

Being that this is the perfect opportunity to ask, I was wondering if there are any plans to make another version of the Triumvirate (or anything similar).

It was mostly ran by Mod Crow (which he did a phenomenal job), however it was handed over to the participants due to upcoming projects and the overall time it required.

Dear Mod Baker, how do you feel about the stance of removing mods because they're "anti-jagex."

Many current and recently demodded mods feel that they didn't know about this policy and many believe you instated it as it has been common knowledge that mods are "players first, mods second" but this has been contradicted by demodding mods who express opinions contrary to, pardon my bluntness, what Jagex wants.

Currently many mods are afraid to express their true opinions on the forum in fear of losing their status, respect, and taking a blow to their pride.

So, what do you think about demodding mods who disagree with Jagex's stances on issues?

Also, how do you feel about a rising distaste of the Twitter and Facebook communities you are trying to build. Many players are dissatisfied with the Runescape site and believe that time would be better spent promoting the forums, especially because there have been a few bouts of false information leaked on the facebook.

Two questions.

1. Will anything be done to help show players whether or not Jagex is listening to our feedback? We've been told time and time again that Jmods are constantly reading our thoughts, but it often feels like their presence is non-existent.

The Player Feedback Library currently in the Existing Game Content Forum was a start, but I feel like not enough effort has been put into maintaining it and the discussion sticky that came along with it.

2. Could we perhaps recieve more information about Jagex bot-busting on the forums so people don't feel like Jagex isn't doing anything? There was a sticky in Rants before it was removed (don't know where it is now), but it wasn't enough.

Alternatively, is it possible we could have a sticky or a forum dedicated towards bot busting or other anti-bot discussions? Forums like Recent Updates and Existing Game Content are full of threads about bots and Jagex's supposed lack of response and they're starting to really fill up and clog the forums.

Thanks.

I’ve got four questions.

1!) [This is kind of a two-in-one] How integral to the role of a CM Jmod really is the aspect of communicating and interacting directly with players? And as the “link”, per sey, between Jagex and the Runescape community, what, in your words, is your personal and most essential goal? (I.E., to foster understanding of the company, to gather feedback, etc.) -- In other words what do you personally and the rest of your team bring to the table?

2!) Would it be possible, or even likely, in the future, to host more (heavily promoted) forum-based competitions? It could be fun, not to mention beneficial due to the influx of forumers and such). By heavily promoted, I mean displayed on the home page of the site.

3!) What metal is used to create a banhammer? Rune…? Or does it vary..

4!) Team Edward or Team Jacob?

1) Why is it so hard to receive support for the Spanish forum community? We spent almost six months without a J-Mod and last month we received Mod Keildest, but unfortunately, he has been really busy being trained for over a month and we don't fully have him yet. What makes making a Club 99 forum more important than supporting the Spanish community?

2) Why was the 'Forum Emergencies' sticky removed? Personally, as many others have said as well, I think this shouldn't have happened. We'd use this sticky to briefly ask a J-Mod a question and for many other purposes such as reporting offensive names, adding a few notes to what we were reporting and even interact with a few friendly J-Mods.

Right now, it's IMPOSSIBLE to do what I stated because we can highlight a thread and we'd never know if the J-Mod received the report and if they actually action it. What I'm trying to say is that I find it a little ironic that you guys said we'd see you more involved in the forums but with the removal of 'Forum Emergencies', we do NOT see active J-Mods posting and replying to our concerns.

Do you think it'd be possible to reinstate 'Forum Emergencies' after all the feedback you have received since its removal? It'd be nice if you could consider that. We had a good relation with the J-Mods in charge of FE.

3) Can we (the Spanish community) please have Mod Keildest already? We have had over a month without him and we are lonely.

:D This is my first Q&A I am participating in :D Always missed the other ones :(

Hi Mod Baker!!! Congratulations on your new job :D I have a few questions for you :)

1) Are you looking for PMods and FMods all the time or do you stop when you think you have enough? Are you searching for any now?

2) I am sure you get a lot of Player Feedback, do you actually think about putting most of this into action?

3) Are you planning on adding more language forums? If so, what are your primary choices?

4) Which Mod steals the most cookies from you? :P

5) When will you answer all these questions? Like I mean what date?

If I get more questions, I will edit. :)

1. Do you ever think "We're doing to much with facebook, we should consider using our inhouse features more!"?

2. Have you liked the RuneScape facebook page?

3. If you did, did you do it just so it wouldn't look bad on you? :P

1.)

Background: On 12 February 2011, players were asked to answer several questions in 'Live Q&A - We Ask You!'. One of these questions was, "Which is your favourite RuneScape fan/help site and why?" The responses to this question were in favour towards the RuneScape Wiki and either Tip.it or RuneHQ.

Question: With these responses, has Jagex changed their stance on what it means to be a Gold tiered fan site or take exception to the rule?

2.)

Background: Back in 2010, on 4 March, we had a similar question to answer session. In the answers by some of the Community Management staff it made seem the player who didn't have a mountain of text (less than 100-200 lines per play session) and just played the game didn't have a chance at becoming a player moderator.

Question: What makes someone who has a relatively low amount of playtime with only talking to others more suitable than a player who has well over half a year in time played and has pressed return far less than the player with low time played as a candidate for Player Moderator?
