Regarding the discontinueation of the caption competition , i'm sure that there will be even better upcoming events, as for this thread I've seen many great ideas for competition and feedback from the CM team is what we are dieing for.
It would be delightful to see smoe of these ideas revised and implemented. keep them coming guys.

If you have a big PINK sticky:
Possibly something to do with weekly:
Top 100 players with most kills in the wilderness get a xp bonus reward or something on them lines.
or;
You could do; Top 1000 xp skillers in the following skills "you decide the skills" get a reward etc.
This would get the community engaged etc.

Here's an idea, a weekly Runescape lotto, where players buy ingame lottery tickets for around 1k, every week someone will win the pot, all depending on how many people buy a lotto tickets.
For example:
- 100 people buy a ticket (100 x 1000 = 100000gp)
- 100000 people buy a ticket ( 100000 x 1000 = 100 000 000gp)
It all depends on the amount of people who buy a ticket. Iknow this might be precarious as one player can go from a couple of Ks to millions, but it would be strictly one entry per player, per week.
