The page seems fine to me. If you have a slower PC or connection it might take a while to load (Happened to me at home).
As for the display name, we should be able to find you with either but to prefer the account name for ease.
Cheers,
Zach

Account name is preferred but we are able to find you with either.
Boxed, this is fine.
Account name = login name. However, some people have an email log in and in this case display is fine.
Either way, I don't think it really matters which one you use, but as Mod Zach mentioned, account name is preferred. :P

Good luck! :D

Ok @ the haters:
1. People who hate because they do not have facebook, facebook is free and easy to join. And you can not complain that you can not receive free stuff. Runescape does not have to give out free stuff. Jagex is being nice. Complaining about that is like complaining about not getting extra credit in school.
2. If jagex is trying to make the game more popular what is wrong with that? Without people to play the game there would be no game. Also more people playing would mean more money for jagex which would allow them to get more work done/release more content for the players, most of which are desperate for new content in some form or another. Also more players means a bigger and more diverse community which is beneficial to the game. Also more people to catch those sneaky bots that people say is the main concern ;) .
3. Advertising the game on facebook is no different than on other websites, except for it is a cheaper way of doing so. Advertising through facebook is not much different than on addictinggames which is where i discovered the game so many years ago.
4. Letting players know about runescape's facebook, twitter, and youtube pages can add to any players experience and enjoyment of the game. I only recently liked runescape on facebook maybe like 6 months ago or something. But since then I always enjoy content on their such as teaser pictures :P . It's like an extra behind the scenes! If you personally don't care to enjoy the extra benefits you don't have to but there is no need to complain.
5. People embarrassed to like on facebook...why even play? I like that i play in my free time instead of doing something illegal like some of my friends and the "cool" kids.
@ jagex:
1. Thanks for the contest and the chance to win free prizes. I would love to win those things. I already own some t-shirts and the first novel and wanna buy the 2nd when i put money on my debit card. I would love to have them signed though :) .
2. Ignore the haters

I fully agree with "Necron Pker"
After return of free trade rs again full of damn bots. Honestly i starting to think that NOW there's even more bots then on 2005-2006.
I do like rs but i dont have facebook account... But if Jagex start to take REAL actions agains macroing and botting - i will even register there ONLY for "like" jagex on facebook. It starting to get over the line - mean quality of the botters.

Jagex,
I simply don't get it. For years on end you have been preaching about account security, about our responsibility to keep our ******** and pin safe, for not giving away personal details and so on.
And NOW you cooperate with facebook? A bug-ridden, virus-infested, hackable site that gathers personal details about every user. A site that does not even let you delete your profile fully if you have had enough of it.
I cannot understand how you can morally combine your ingame rules in collaboration with this site.
With your campaign of handing out goodies you get a lot of ppl who are either too young or not bright enough to see the dangers of facebook and the loss of privacy on that site. Apart from that a lot of ppl might create a facebook account with their rs name thus leading to another easy way for hackers to get the infos for hacking millions of rs accounts.
This really is a big let-down of Jagex.
I am truly dissappointed.
yours chriggle75
p.S.: @777squirrels ever thought about that some of us who do not like facebook have good reasons because they already had bad experiences with that network? just because some of us are aware of the dangers of that site does not mean that we are haters. it's not all black and white dude. -.-

Im sorry jagex, im not mainstream. Im not going to put my career, college dreams and runescape character in jeopardy by creating an account on facebook, then twitter then like you.
For a better exclusive competion, make it so only accounts that have played for 5 years plus and are pay to play get a message to a link on the rs homepage, then log in to verify the account. Then after the account is logged in, the account gets a random number and is drawn at a certain number of days.
Tl;dr read it, yes i know the wall of text hurts.
