regaurding the Jagex store .. i belive i posted in the thread or a similar one before, however i since forgot, so i shall do again...

the main reason people do not buy clothing from the jagex store i beleive to be the fact of sizing, gender suited clothing or design / materials .. sizing and fitting are two seperate issues, what may be a womens size 10 UK and a male size 34 UK often do not fit those who wear those sizes anyway in everyday life .. for example i bought a hockey jersey .. large and it fits as a small.. also the gender based clothing is not perfect.. yes different items should be avaliable, but the ratio of male to female players is proberly very high
when i mean designs, people under 18 do not want to be walking around with a giant "runescape" symbol or wording on a otherwise cool top, yes i know you must label it as that, but placing the name runescape on a t shirt where nobody could see would proberly influence more people to buy the clothing, instead of being teased and bullied.. also you need more images / designs that suit the representation of the game .. instead of idiotic phrases "i pk'ed your mum" and random words..
images such as artwork of charecters and bosses, monsters, scenary and quests would be more better than phrases.. imagine a art drawing of Nex or Kril..just like similar popular video game charecters like Kratos apear in scenes of combat and look sweet
i also think materials are very important, why market a t-shirt made of thin cotton in the winter.. when heavier and thicker , warmer clothes tend to sell well.. maybe stocking long sleeve t-shirts for winter would see a boost in sales

yet, moving onto the main marketing, people tend to buy figures of pop culture and memorical charecters, scenes or references.. while runescape is not as popular as Darth Vader, Harry Potter or Gollum, the runescape store could play on such references .. example:

.A t-shirt of the dungoneering ring with the words "my precious" (ingame examine refers to the one ring)
.image of party pete in a disco styled dance similar to Simpsons Disco Stu
. Image of an imgame rock lobster (similar to the song)

maybe some of these would be copyrighted, however it is a more interesting concept than quotes and phrases of idiocy

my other idea is the sale of models and plushies.. just like the warhammer tabletop game.. Glenior is a fictional world with many races, so the concept could be very similar, instead of the state of warfare in warhammer and 40k, the tabletop gameplay could be similar to the settings of the god-wars ..
also, fans would love to collect detailed models of certain charecters, again proberly slayer mosters (abby demons <3 ) , boss monsters ( tormented demons, krill , nex, corp) quest monsters (ballance elemental, Nomad, Lucian) dungeoneering bosses and so on.. supplying the paints and peices to make these, they could become a popular selling item

plushies however, would be a very nice idea, and could become a form of collectables, the only plushies i would consider buying would be an abby demon, corp, jad, dark beast, graandor, and actual cool monsters, no boring monsters and charecter plushies like sig hero's and low level things please

similarly, other ideas:

. the crypted pen stick you designed in a blog (would sell extremely well seeing free trade led to an explosion of hacking and fear of it)
. seasonal items and costumes
. mugs, glasses and furniture
. stationary
. books (massive option here concerning the massive detail of the lore of the game), more novels and comics
. air fresheners for cars

any feedback would be nice, so i can improve the sudjestion

There have been hundreds of great ideas posted of what we want in the store, but I don't think anyone really looks at it. I don't people begging for Tshirts, but it seems that's as far as imagination goes for the people who decide what goes in the store.
So.... just to recap, I personally will never buy a Tshirt from the Jagex store.
i would however buy plushies, hats or inexpensive trinkets. (not buttons)

I haven't brought anything from the store yet, because my pocket money is normally put towards other things; and because I'm not quite sure how online buying works. Never brought anything offline, and I'm not sure where a New Zealand RuneScape shop is.

1. If you've not bought anything from the store yet, could you tell me why?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I did purchase from the store once but, probably won't again for the below reason.
Shipping your store items to the U.S. [where I live] is too costly.
What I paid for in shipping costs alone was almost as much as the amount the 2 shirts I purchased total was. :O
Is there no way for you [Jagex] to set up a U.S. distributor for your products?
From all indications, you have a very large U.S. customer base [Members & F2P].
You might be surprised at how many new orders were placed if only we in the U.S. didn't have to pay the exorbitant shipping fees imposed.
You did ask.
;-) :-)
