I am a big fan of your novels and I have my copy Return to Canfis on its way, hopefully to arrive at my doorstep tomorrow or Monday. I enjoy reading bout Runescape and different setting (outside the game we all play) and I think it will/has helped some players get more motivated to read.
I have a few questions for you, hopefully ones you'll enjoy answering:
1)Firstly, I'd like to comment on your writing style. I noticed in the first book that you tend to write in past tense and explicitly show the reader the motivations of characters such as Kara-Meir, and reasons she took certain actions.
Of course by using they particular writing style, you allow the reader to see the thoughts of these characters. I can see this tactic being used to make it easier for younger readers to understand, but want to know if thats the reason this particular writing style. Furthermore, will this similar writing style be used in Return to Canfis?
2) How long did it take you to write Return to Canfis, and was consistent communication with Jagex required to write it properly?
3) Is a third book planned? If so, will this be linked to this storyline or a new one?
4) How many copies of the first book have been sold? Any statistics on pre-orders for the second?
4) Could you sneak me into the Jagex office one day?
-------------------------------------
Thanks for taking the time to answer all or some of my questions. Hope this book is just as successful as the last.

Hey!Here's my set of questions:-
1)From whom you got the inspiration of writing?
2)Whose your favorite author?
3)Which book(written by any author) is your favorite?
4)Did you have fun writing the book?
5)How was your experience writing about RUNESCAPE?
6)One sentence you would like to say to all your fans out here
Haven't got a chance to read the first book,
although will try
hi T.S. church i love yourr book, gona get return to canifis next time i get my allowance, i got 2 questions...
(1) who or what inspired you to write books?
(2) what does it take to be a writer? cuz im thinking about trying my hand at it....
What made you begin your career into becoming a writer and how do you look at common writing? Do you look at the idealist way of writing or do you more like to explore your thoughts and write down what makes you think?
Also, Can you give MMG (Mod Mark Gerhard) a good slapping for me?
Hello T.S Church, I loved the book.
I've been a Runescape fan for the past 8 years and counting!
And your books make Runescape just that much more interesting!
(I love lore and stories
)
But on to my questions!
1.) In your books, you only use a handful of characters from the actual Runescape, and made the rest up. Why did you do that, and not use more real characters?
2.) How tall would you say a dwarf, (Doric) would be to an average human? (lets say Theodore?)
3.) Would you ask the people at Jegax to add some of the characters from your book into the game?
I'd love to see how they would visualize them, maybe Theodore in the White Knight's Castle, Castamir where ever the heck the end of the new book leads him?
And last,
4.) If you write another Runescape naval, when will it be out!
I know books take along time, expecially ones of such thickness
, so if I get an answer, I'd be expecting 2 years? :o
If you have read these questions, thanks for taking the time to read them.

Did you play runescape to get a feel for the geography and for how Jagex portrays certain NPCs background stories? And if so "free stuff please" jk *<l;^P I'm no nooby.
Who are some of the authors who inspired you to start writing and what sort of techniques or methodologies do you use to study your subject before you write a book?

Hello! I quite enjoyed your first novel and am looking forward to getting this one. My questions are:
1. So far everyone has said theres only a paperback version, so would hardback be an option?
2. Will Sulla be a main character again or will we have a new villan? (perhaps the Vyrewatch or Drakken himself? If not, perhaps in book 3
?)
3. Will the content try to remain inside the "f2p" setting? or will we see Kara and Theo perhaps using barrows armor and dragon weapons soon?
Can't wait to read the new book
PS: Remember me from the 1st QA?
Best regards,
~Nick

Few questions:
1. Do you play RuneScape?
2. Do you enjoy quests in RuneScape and did they inspire ideas in your work?
3. How did you feel when your work got published?
4. If by chance, your first book did not get published, would you have continued writing?
5. Once the Betrayal in Falador series is complete, do you plan on starting another saga?
6. If yes to 5, will you write about other quests in RuneScape and give them a T.S. Church take on them?
7. Were there any writers that inspired you?
8. How did people react when they heard you were writing about an online game?
9. Who is your favorite writer?
10. What's your favorite book?
11. How often do you read books?
12. If you do still play Runescape: Can I have free stuff?
