Holy crap, I didn't know it was a marketing ploy shame on you Jagex!!!!!!!!!! :( :( :( :( :(

I was origionally going to say though that lots of players don't really focus on runescape, so Jagex.......................................MOAR CONTENT TO KEEP US INTERESTED IN RUNESCAPE... I mean really if about a third of the voters don't even bother to focus on runescape then you really aren't doing your jobs....

I really think the lastest poll should have focussed more on what types of other things people do (besides play Runescape). It is important for content developers to know whether people are chatting, skype, viewing other web content, or watching non-web based TV/Video.

I'm a Runescape exclusive, but I have to wonder that if people can play while distracted this much, is this an RPG or a screen saver?

Even though i voted for 30+ downloads, i should just point out the following factors:

1) the stuff i download normally cant be purchased in this (or any english speaking) country

2) Anything i do download that is from an english speaking country, i WILL buy if i watch more than half. The exeption was when i downloaded twilight just to see how much it sucked.


I should also pint out that i dont actually use a TV, just a "stay on top" enabled media player on the PC with the media player covering the minimap.

Also, where it asked for genre, mabye that one should have been multihoice. Cause although i like anime for TV shows, when it comes to movied i love action flicks.

There should be an option for member players to create polls, rather than threads. This would allow a player to state a suggestion, and other players to vote or rate the suggestion rather than a lot of feedback that is difficult to decipher. Suggestions with strong support would quickly become quite obvious. Member created polls would not only have greater immediate and obvious value when strongly supported, but also require much less server space than long threads with a lot of discussion that is often off on tangents.

I don't have a TV in my room, and don't watch TV much anyway. When I do, it's to watch particular shows or the news, not just to have it on in the background. Waste of electricity and attention, that.

Movie genre question should have been multiple choice! :D Also you forgot horror. (I'll let someone else complain about "animation" not really being a *genre.*)

I do like to listen to actor/director/producer etc. commentaries on DVDs while I'm on the computer, though. Sometimes the commentary is better than the actual movie...
