Hey Mod Howes, The in-game polls i think are a great way for JaGex to gain huge feedback off players! ^_^ I enjoy doing every poll in the game from choosing rewards for holiday events and many more! Please continue the good work! Many regards. Martin 1st1 (Happy To Help) ^_^

As voting on updates as soon as they've come out would never be productive, please refrain from suggesting we run polls on any updates that have only recently been released. We already pass on extensive player feedback to our content team and so there's no need to duplicate it.

But before a change that might upset MANY people, you SHOULD do a poll.

For example, BEFORE climbing update you should ask people the following question:

1.What is the closest street value of climbing boots?
•5K
•10K
•15K
•20K+

2. Is it fair to give free millions of gold to people who just happened to have stocked the boots?
•TOTALLY NOT
•No

Is it so hard to understand? DO NOT GIVE ASTRONOMICAL AMOUNTS OF CASH TO LUCKY HOARDERS.

If you want to give your RS accounts and friends some cash, then do that silently WITHOUT ruining a fine item, rendering it useless.

And what you have done to poor onyx also horrifies me. This didn't add more challenge - this added more annoyance and hassle. You, however, seem to confuse those...

Forgive me this slight offtopic.

I've noticed the polls have been awfully one sided recently. For the triumverate poll, one question was "How often would you like triumverate events?" My answer would've been "Never" but the closest to that is 1 month. Also, in the more recent poll, you asked what kept us coming back. Since I quit because of the climbing boot debacle, I don't come back, but there was no option for that.

I quit because of the climbing boots and I won't be coming back.

I thought this was a great poll, it got me thinking. I certainly think i was more focused when I was a noob. Now I get distracted by forums and i'm grinding right now so it's hard to stay focused, but in a quest, or clan event i'm almost there :D

My main reason for playing is the community, I enjoy the realistic econonomy, I run a company in the B&S forum, and I am about as loyal to my clan as I could be to any group other than my real life country. I have been honored with a position as prime senator, and have certainly enjoyed myself.

Jagex, the game is great, but what really makes RuneScape the game it is, is the people who play it!

I haven't done many polls but a couple I tried did not have options that I found gave a good indication of my views. I realise they need to be broad to cover such a huge range of players and styles but some of the options were not even in the ball park ie not even close to a "best fit"

Your recent one is a lot better with an option for "none of the above" even if I didn't have to use the option this time :P

If the idea of the polls is to provide a forum for gauging positive responses and pats on the back, then that's fine but for "true" feedback, that may entail a level of criticism, constructive negative response mechanisms should also be included - not that I have any negative comments to make about the game unlike some previous threads.

Personally I think runescape is a clever, engaging game. I've been playing computer games for over 25 years and don't think I have ever had this level of obsession for the one game for this amount of time. I can't begin to imagine how skilled and dedicated the Jagex staff must be.

Yeah OK - sometimes mistakes are made ... we all make em, that's how we learn and grow but you gotta admit it's soooo much worse when its a surgeon or perhaps someone from the bomb squad making the errors - please get some perspective people.

i think the latest poll is in the wrong place for people to use.

the log in time which can be fairly long on a slow internet is quite frankly boring.

why not make the latest poll integrated with the lobby we use to log in. it would be easier for me since i would be filling it out while talking in clan or talking to somebody on friends chat.

In the poll "What's My Motivation"'s second question, I was not sure what to put, because the answer varies for me depending on what is going on around me in both worlds.

Putting that aside, Great Job on the polls! I always love answering them.
