Hi. I just finished voting in "The polls poll", and it made me want to come here and answer the main reason why I think people forget to vote, myself included.

I think one of the main problems of why people don’t vote, or forget to vote, is because of where the poll is situated on the homepage of the website. Some people have small screens and some people have large computer screens. For me, I have a 17 inch laptop, and when the Runescape homepage loads, I mainly only see the top new update, and the play runescape button. I don't always scroll down the page. I think if the poll was situated more near the top of the page, or even better, beside the play Runescape button, people would see it before they click to play Runescape, and would probably vote. Another idea for people that use the downloaded version that takes you to the game page immediately could be something on the actual game page that says when there’s a new poll. Or maybe in the first login screen you could have a message, that’s large in size, which tells you when there’s a new poll, and whether you have voted yet or not, this would remind people about the polls and increase the amount of people who vote.

I remember way back the poll used to be more near the top of the homepage, but for some reason it has been moved down, and I think people forget because of this, or just don’t know it’s even there, or that it even exists at all.

If you really want to be mean about it, you could force people to vote before they get into the game, but I think people may get angry if you do that.

I hope you liked my ideas :) .

I vote in every* poll, didn't know about the free month, and comment on this thread every so often (particularly this time because I said I would in question six :P ) but not with feedback as such, sorry :P . Usually I ramble on with my reasons for what I voted for.

Only thing now is, because you mentioned the free month of membership, from now on more people are going to vote/more often, lowering each and every one of our chances of winning it. :P

*besides very occasionally where I just cannot choose answers, so I leave it.

Actually, I've just remembered I don't think I voted on the recent Halloween reward one, because I just didn't want to be part of choosing it. In fact, I dislike content polls for holiday events, where's the fun in knowing the reward beforehand?

Polls are a great way to get feedback from players in runescape. I think there quick and easy to do. I would suggest giving more notification to runescape players about polls im sure many dont even know about polls or have never done a poll. It's a great, fair, easy way to vote for stuff such as new updates, emotes, and quests and so on.

I thoroughly enjoy voting in polls, especially in the creative and sometimes humorous player submitted polls.

On a different note, giving a small(er) reward for voting in polls would increase the number of voters, but then the voting results might be less accurate than they otherwise might be. Just something to think about =]
Thanks Jagex!
