Yes it's off topic, so why post it when the opening post specifically asks you to stay on-topic? Try the Suggestions or Constructive Criticism forums please. :-)

Could you give us a poll about something that matters instead of armour colours, pub names or in this latest case, how well your marketing is working?

A poll about how the forums go would have foreseen the debacle of an update you've just done, which actually almost proves that you *don't* listen to your customer base.

Which is why my initial question will probably be met with a silent 'no'.

Which social networks do you use?

I'm surprised Windows Live Messenger wasn't on there. Not sure if I'm allowed to say that but the post can easily be hidden :P

Is it because Jagex can't use it to talk to a lot of people? It still would of been interesting to know how many people DO have it because I can tell you now, a lot of my friends do.

Anyway fair question,

Paak

EDIT:

@Josh. Yes, I believe they can tell exactly where the account was made. Although this is off topic. Good luck

look on youtbe for social media revelution, and you will see a nice movie.

after you seen it, you will probibly be shocked to see how much money is in social media.

social media is the tool at the moment to advertise, and make a big bag of money. not only companys like jagex advertise there no hotels, pharmacys, beer companys, small retailers, anything or any one can be found there, its the tool to make money.

So take a gues how much money jagex makes from advertising on twitter, facebook, myspace, hyves, and all these sites i dont even know. my ques, i can buy a new car every month from that ammount of cash.

so yhe social media is a revelution!

You're on a Quest and you realise you need some assistance to help you complete it. Do you:

- Forcibly volunteer someone. The day you asked them for help will be the greatest day of their life!

- Ask around your Friends List for some help. After all, you've always tried to help them.

- Hunt down a victim, get the help you need and then PK them on the way home. Bwahaha!

Hello pollsters,

Thanks for your continued support, suggestions and feedback - it's all really good stuff, as ever. Here are a couple of replies on specific topics:

Sir Dalacan :

Running a poll on "something that matters" is a highly subjective goal and doesn't really offer any useful feedback, as there as many views on what is "useful" as there are players who have an opinion! :-)

Still, we do strongly believe that the polls feature is a great mix of really useful opportunities for us to gauge opinion alongside chances to explore a lighter side of the game. We already collect extensive feedback on updates via the forums and the polls format isn't really the right avenue to augment that process. But of course it's an ever-developing beast, so we'll never say never!

Regarding the forum changes, we were fully aware of the potential reactions from some users and we were absolutely willing and ready to take any criticisms so we could use them to further tweak the changes we felt were essential for the health of the forum community.

Anyway, we look forward to seeing some poll suggestions from you in future. Check out the guide on the first post for more information about participating! :-)

V a :

I'm not too sure what you mean by the "teamwork option", but this latest poll on personality types is only meant to be hugely general for a bit of fun. The balanced approach option in each question response is usually the one to advocate equality, teamwork and compromise. And we've been seeing great participation numbers of late, so we must be doing something right! ;-)

Right folks, we now have a new poll out for you to participate in: " It Takes All Sorts ".

Have fun and get voting now!

I think it was a test to see if players choose more self centered answers, more neutral answers or more "willing to help others" answers.

I was surprised that we mostly had neutral answers and not self centered ones. A large amount of the ranting, debating and over all negativity in the forums is usually due to players thinking of what they want for themselves and not necessarily what is good for others or the game itself.

I think most of the actual player base is content and just want to play the game. Those who are unhappy are more likely to come to the forums and make it known.

Yes, there are hundreds of legitimate game issues and problems in Runescape. I have seen some problems get fixed and others stew for years.

Of course a reasonably intelligent player would recognize this is a test of picking answers that don't necessarily define what you truly think, but what won't make you look bad. I doubt many are thinking that way however.

Nice to have regular polls again.

I just wish Monsieur Mod Crow would make a new Spotlight Suggestions. :(
