If I was taking one real world item to the wilderness it would be....an AR15A3 Tactical Carbine Assault Rifle. More distance than a far caster and can pierce through rune armor all packed into one gun

A magnifying glass to start a fire. Getting a fire started is the most important and hardest to do. Matches get wet, used up and a lighter eventually runs out of fuel.
