Question #5;
Q :D o you train skills with efficiency or profit in mind?
A:I train to be good ;) I am not training combat so I can defeat Bosses.
The other skills I do for fun, like wc (Lvl 91). I mainly do skills for quest to be honest (Other than Combat and Wc...)
In the end, when I think of it. I just do skills to be a better warrior. Herblore for overloads. Mining+Smithing for armor (Not any more, since I use Bandos.) And even Dungeoneering for Frost Dragons!!!
And ya, money is important too, but fun is the most important =]

Q5?: Depends on what skill. If I train CB, it is for the XP (only if I plan to PvM, if PvP, it's for the money :) ) Woodcutting, Fishing, and all the gathering skills for both XP and money. Cooking, FM, and skills like that are trained only for the levels. Crafting is for the profit since I reached 50 Crafting a couple of months ago, not training it a lot anymore (kinda low, IK). Mage for the XP, Range, XP and PvP, Smith and Mine for Lumby Diary Mith Plate task -.-

Efficiency!!
Ok - well it kind of depends. Mainly efficiency - especially when I "need" a level asap - like a new quest or something. I will pump lots of cash into a skill to get the target. However - when training for fun profit is definitely a goal. I don't have the kind of money to train herblore or prayer say at max efficiency. So although I won't make normal attack potions to train herblore, the amount of money I use will determine the level I can get - while the time it takes to train doesn't bother me as much.

q5: both. efficiency is important, but so is profit.
some skills just consume money, some skills produce, so i try to make my best varying between them and keep balancing my income (aka profit) with my money consuming skills (aka efficiency requiring).

"do you train skills with efficiency or profit in mind?"
hmmmm...i train skills for the following reasons -
1. quest requirements (questing ROCKS!!!!)
2. i enjoy the activity or skill itself
3. profit
if i had to boil it down, i would say for the enjoyment and the profit as a side benefit. to explain, runecrafting is one of the most profitable skills trained in the game, but i have great aversion to it snd as a result my level is comparatively low to say crafting or magic.

@Phina,
I only force myself when I'm working towards a goal. Such as getting a quest requirement, or if it will make other things easier.
Usually, I just have the goal, "Increase one level today, and then your done!"
Trust me, if I don't force myself, I'd still be lvl 40 in everything, because I have a VERY short attention span, and only find skilling fun for the first 5min, then I want to move on.

Depends on the skill, really, but mostly I just try to be efficient and get things done. Stopped caring as much about profiteering off the skill, though, some of the time the training leads to profit in the long run. Ie, Herblore, prayer :P

I LOVE spending money to train faster. The only problem is that I don't always have the money to spend on raising stats so in the end, I find I have to balance efficiency with money spent/earned. edit: Time is money. Therefore, the faster you finish a skill the more time you have to earn back the money you spent on it whereas someone who took the slow road would still be training.
