I personally see nothing wrong with HomeWork threads. We have often seen them within the Off Topic section. I remember a Maths 1 some years back that did well.
I see nothing wrong with asking set questions. The issue maybe asking for someone to do your homework for you and post it so you use it. That could be iffy.
